Great Quality and Perfect Fit! Highly Recommend!
I recently purchased the Carhartt Men's Montana Loose Fit Insulated Jacket in Oak Brown, and I couldn’t be more satisfied! The quality of this jacket is top-notch—super durable and built to withstand tough conditions. It’s perfect for cold weather, thanks to the insulation that keeps me warm without feeling too bulky. The loose fit is comfortable and allows for easy layering, which is great for those chillier days.I also love the Oak Brown color; it’s a versatile shade that goes with almost anything. The jacket has plenty of pockets, which is a huge plus for carrying essentials without feeling overloaded. The zipper and snap closures are sturdy, and the overall construction of the jacket feels solid and well-made.I’ve worn it in both work settings and casual outings, and it holds up great in both! If you're looking for a reliable, functional, and stylish jacket, this is definitely the one. Highly recommend!

Amazing Jacket!!
Comfortable and WARM! pretty much sits at the waist, which may be short for some. It's like a $400 LL Bean jacket, but I think I paid about $150 for it. More than worth the money! Very well made. The hood is great and it doesn't blow off in the wind, unlike a flimsy nylon Hood.

Warm and high quality
I’m 5’11” 205lbs and ordered the Large Tall and it fit great. Pockets are nice and big! Hood is a good size and shape to keep you warm and still have visibility, with brim to keep rain/snow off the face. The sleeve elastic is recessed in the sleeves a good bit and not very tight, so it breathes easy but you’d get cold if you didn’t have gloves with a sleeve themselves. Zipper quality is good, and the whole coat seems like it should last a while.

Warm and Durable
My husband says it’s the nicest coat he has owned. It’s super warm but not overly heavy.

If it had a removeable hoodie it would be a perfect 5/5 stars.
This is a fantastic winter puffy. I'm 6'2", 250lbs, long torso and limbs and went with an XL Tall. This fits perfectly in the chest, arms, and torso length. It sits an inch or two below the waist, which is perfect IMO. If i went regular it would probably have been too short. As far as I can tell it's totally weather proof (wind and water resistant) and extremely warm. I've worn it for the past week in SE Michigan in temps from single digits to 30s and never got cold while wearing it.No this is not for ultra-light through hikes and no it won't pack down to the size of a softball. It's a heavy and durable winter puffy. It's incredibly warm and the insulation is comparable to 700-800 fill power down. It has very deep waste pockets, generous chest pockets, and a small zipper pocket that IMO is slightly undersized, but still useful. The sleeves are a bit billowy at the wrist but this is intentional - the wrist elastic is actually recessed up the sleeve slightly so that when you're wearing gloves the sleeve baffle comes over top of the cuff of the glove. Very clever design and gives you full range of motion when working with your hands. The only critcism I have is that the hood is not removable. Of course I knew this going in but would still love to see a version of this jacket with a removable hoodie. Drawstrings for the hoodie wouldn't be the worst thing either.Overall this is a fantastic durable and warm winter puffy with the same carhartt quality and materials you expect.

Great coat so far. Very warm, fairly water resistant. Good pockets and zippers.

Great Winter Coat
Edit: Jan 2025 - it’s gotten down to 4°F with a windchill of -5°F and the coat is still keeping me warm against these temperatures. I couldn’t be happier.I bought this in July on sale for $70, so I had to wait until the weather dropped to test it. So far it’s only been down to 18°F, so not crazy cold, but I think cold enough to give a fair review. Everywhere the coat covers is warm, even in the wind and snow. The pockets are plentiful, and the hand pockets are great for keeping my hands warm…like, surprisingly warm. If I’m not working outside and can keep my hands in my pockets, I won’t even wear gloves because the pockets are just as good. The zipper is good to go, ties on the waist work well, but look silly if you pull them all the way because they hang down the bottom. Coat is a bit shorter than most winter coats, but I don’t mind…it still sits below my waistline. The cuffs on the sleeves are very nice. They allow easy on/off and still create a nice seal from the wind/snow. My wife said it was heavy, but I didn’t think so for a extreme cold weather coat. I got the blue color, and it looks good.My only con is that the hood bill hits the back of my head when the hood is down. I have to try to flatten it to keep it from happening, but it could just need worked in a bit to loosen up. But, if that bill is a part of what makes that hood so warm and comfortable when raised, it’s totally worth it.I’m 5’10”, 170lbs with long arms and got a Large, which is my normal size in shirts, jackets, and coats, and they’re usually fairly athletic fitting. It’s looser fitting, and actually a bit long in the arms even for me, but perfect for layering. If you want something more fitted, I’d go a size down.
