these were absolutely perfect on my jazzmaster, both with the stock pickups and the SD Quarter Pounder in the neck position. vintage white color is awesome.

Original Jazzmasters of the 1958-1980 era had white PU covers.Current Fender production Jazzmasters have Fender's strange "aged white" covers. These are the only covers available from Fender. The color is what somebody at Fender thinks old covers become when they age. Unfortunately while old covers do fade, to my eyes they don't fade to anything like this.Current Squier production Jazzmasters have white covers. However they also say DUNCAN DESIGNED on the front, which is a bit of a spoiler on the overall 1959esque mojo.Allparts sells 'em in "white" and "black", both looking pretty much like what the names say. WD sells four, all claimed to be "replacements" for Fender part #005-4442-049; "black" (looking like black), "white" (looking a bit "off-white", not snow white or notebook paper white), "ivory" (looking much like the Fender "aged white"), and "aged" (perhaps a bit less yellowish than the WD "ivory"). Mojotone has three, all "vintage spec ... to fit ... original Fender USA, Seymour Duncan Jazzmaster pickups perfectly"; "black" (and looks like it), "white" (looking in the online photo more like battleship gray) and "cream" (looking like the Fender "aged white" or perhaps a bit darker). And there are others from mysterious unidentified sources somewhere in the mysterious Orient - these are many of the ones you'll find on eBay. These mystery items are usually perfectly good parts, but they may not be a perfectly good fit.Of all of these suppliers, only one - Allparts - gives a hint about the material; the "whites" are "nylon". Unfortunately all Allparts tells us about the "black" ones is that they're of "black plastic", which isn't much help.The material is a bit important if one has plans to paint the covers. Some plastics are damn near impossible to paint.And most importantly, only Mojotone even acknowledges at there are DIFFERENT POLE PIECE SPACINGS on Jazzmaster pickups. Mojotone claims the "vintage spec" is 2.009". I'm not convinced of the accuracy of that, as I have two covers sitting in front of me now, one I measure at 2.021" spacing (the Fender part sold here), one at 2.059" (Allparts).Now these difference aren't huge, and the cover can probably be jammed on the PU even if it doesn't really fit, but it certainly shows, and looks stupid.The problem seems to be two-fold. First, even on original production period guitars, the pole piece spacing isn't exactly the same as the spacing of the holes for the pole pieces. This probably had something to do with Leo's attitude that close enough was good enough, and one has to sympathazise, since to a small manufacturer getting product out the door can be a matter of survival, and when it comes to the small stuff, "damn the torpedos". The other problem is the MIJ/CIJ Jazzmasters. The specs of the Japanese Fenders often stray significantly from those of the American originals. This is a constant annoyance when it comes to replacement parts, even for owners who don't have Japanese Fenders, because the parts you buy may be sized for the Japanese guitars and not yours, and you're just out of luck.All vendors should tell the customer what he's buying. Nevertheless I'll give these five stars, as they do seem to be the exact covers on Fender's current production guitars, and are apparently identical in dimensions to those on Squiers. However the photo here on Amazon doesn't really render the color closely. The actual color is closer to the orange box around "Add to Cart" over on the right of your screen. And if you have a '60s or '70s Jazzmaster with PU covers which have faded to that color, well, congratulations, because you may have the only one.

Fit the classic vibe 60s jazzmaster perfectly. The stock pickup covers were glued on with a strip of black rubber like glue on each side. Easy to remove and replace with these covers.

Color is cream, or what some suppliers call ivory. It is not white. Perfect!

These Jazzmaster pickup covers are exactly the "aged" look I wanted. I ruined 2 sets of white ones trying to age them myself. I was relieved to find this set for such a steal. Fantastic price and quick delivery. A+
