Product Description ------------------- Zeroflame Fire Retardant Paint is a matt white, single-pack waterborne coating that can be applied by brush, roller, or spray, and achieves Class 1 and Class 0 on timber and wood surfaces. It can reduce the ignitability and flammability of soft and hard wood and other wood derivatives, for example - plywood, chipboard, fibre insulation board, hard board, and veneering. Zeroflame fireproofing for wood and timber insulates against heat, checks fire, prevents propagation of fire and diminishes flue- density and flue- temperature - making it ideal for communal areas such as hotels, hostels, bed and breakfasts, homes, workplaces, etc. Zeroflame Fire Retardant Paint is for interior use only, and is not suitable for surfaces exposed to mechanical stress. It is suitable for use over sound existing coatings and can be over-coated with standard latex paints where a decorative finish is required, applied at a total dry film thickness not exceeding 35 microns if desired. Please refer to the official manufacturer (Zeroflame) for fire certification. Always refer to product datasheets. This product has been tested to EN 13501-1:2007 on timber and composite wood substrates, European classes B-s1, d" and B-s2, d0 being obtained. Building Regulations classify C-s3, d2 as being equivalent to Class 1, and B-s3, d2 equivalent to Class 0. Zeroflame Fire Retardant Paint exceeds both these classifications on timber surfaces when applied according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
