CarbZone Low Carb Penne Pasta, High Protein & High Fiber, 60% Protein 250g (Pack of 1)

It is the closest yet I have got to a real pasta while on a low carb diet. Maybe it’s just me because I am used to it by now, but I hardly notice a difference between this product and, say, brown pasta (so, it’s quite firm, but not in a bad way). It is not cheap, but I will continue to buy it.

I had a small portion that looked like any other pasta, but when I ate it I found it left a dry taste. I ate a piece on its own and it was dry. I didn’t dislike it but I’m not thrilled with it

please don't buy it seriously it's like cardboard the taste the texture after cooked, I am bit get used to leave any review but this time I couldn't leave this to keep like secret. Is horrible, now I have two bags that just I will mix with normal pasta just for trying eating easier. DO NOT BUY IT YOU ARE GONNA REGRET!

Let's get the elephant out of the room it's not traditional pasta (if you can eat normal pasta, not sure why you would buy this) and it is expensive. But if your watching your Carb intake it's great to add some substance to your meal and a good dose of protein. Cooks like normal pasta tastes bland like normal dried pasta. Is a bit more chewy but that's a 1st world problems. I like and will be using it.

I was looking for a low-carb alternative to normal pasta and found this, which I really like. Slightly different in texture once cooked, to me it still tastes good. I like it and will continue to use it because I love pasta but will save the 'real' stuff for occasions here and there. This low-carb alternative still allows me to eat pasta but with less calories and carbs.

I'm really not fussy, I don't expect this to taste like normal pasta at all, but need to point out some stuff. When I ordered it I saw some people giving bad reviews and thought - man, you can't really expect it to taste like real pasta, it's a low carb version, get over it. But now I think we need to review WHY we do low-carb. This is not real food, guys. First of all, it does have wheat flour, so be careful if you're coeliac as this can be misleading (there is no label in English, so my Swedish friend translated it to me). Also, I get a bit paranoid when Soya products don't mention if it is GM or not, and if they don't mention it, it probably is. And I don't really want to give up carbs to eat genetically modified stuff, I want to be healthy. When you open the pack it really looks like a proper pack of penne, but once cooked you taste the difference. It's chewy like cardboard (seriously, I'm really not fussy - I can eat as much shiritaki as you ask me). But the worse thing is that my body doesn't digest it properly and I don't know why. I cooked it twice, both times I felt seriously bloated and sick, even after taking digestive enzymes to help out with breaking it down. So the 1/3 left in the package is going to the bin. I think you need to make a decision once you go low carb which is whether to keep it healthy and eat real food or eat carbs. This just doesn't do the trick for me. Shame.

I think this is the best low- carb pasta I've tasted so far. It's expensive, but all purpose made low carb food is.

I love pasta but since going on a low carb diet I've missed it a lot! I thought I'd try this product and I was impressed. They swell up much bigger than their dried form so you get a lot in a bag. It has a strange texture but if you pair it with plenty of sauce, meat or veggies you can't really tell. It definitely satisfies pasta cravings.

Sé que es una pasta baja en hidratos de carbono, pero es que la textura al comerlos es como de cartón. Horrible. Así que si te gusta comer papel (o cartón) esta es la pasta para ti.

Partendo dal presupposto che come tutte le low carb non è come mangiare pasta "normale" (sicuramente questa sembra sempre molto al dente) devo dire che è la mia preferita, non ha sapore e anche se un pò dura l'ho ricomprata perché ha ottimi valori nutrizionali e non ha un saporaccio.

ich war sehr unsicher bei der Bestellung dieser Nudeln, da hier schon einige schlechte Rezensionen abgegeben wurden. Da ich aber eine Alternative zu normalen Nudeln mit weniger Kohlehydraten gesucht habe, habe ich sie bestellt. Und nun bin ich echt positiv überrascht. Die Konsistenz ist schon etwas anderst als bei herkömmlichen Nudeln, leicht gummig und etwas härter, aber geschmacklich wirklich sehr gut. Mit einer guten Soße echt super und ein idealer Ersatz. Der Preis ist das einzige negative an diesem Produkt, aber um gesünder zu leben nehme ich das in Kauf. Werde auf jedenfalls wieder diese Nudeln bestellen!
