Silver Spring Electric Scooter Lift & Carrier

I don't leave reviews often if ever but I am bc the other reviews do not match my experience. My sister is a dbl amputee and my 73 year old mom would put my sisters wheel chair in her SUV every time they left home. We got an motorized wheelchair for my sister and then this lift. It makes my mom's and sister's life so much easier. My mom is easily able to use the lift and secure the wheelchair.My mom's suv did not have a hitch so I purchased one from Uhaul and Uhaul connected the hitch, wheelchair lift and wires. Uhaul (and only Uhaul from my experience) said they would install the wheelchair lift and wires with or without hitch purchase. The wiring would've been simple enough and it does need to connect to the battery but it made more sense to let someone do it that does it daily. I don't recall instructions on how to secure with the straps but my mom was able to figure it out and she's the type to just within 30 seconds if it isn't straight forward enough. This is pricey but it has been the best purchase for our family

This product is good and does the job . I do wish I had purchased the next model up . It doesn’t set as flat on the ground as I would like it to, therefore it can be had to drive my cart up on it . It seems to run a little rough putting it up and down. With that all said it’s nice to be able to go to stores and other places that don’t have ride cart , and I did miss getting out like that .

It was a fairly straightforward install. If you have mechanical ability you should have no problem. I did all the work myself, but would recommend having a helper. The lift quality is good, the electric motor seemed a bit slow, but it definitely gets the job done. I know that we saved a few thousand dollars over buying one local and paying to have it installed. One extra note to keep in mind: these things are generally a universal fit, but be prepared to possibly re-drill a hole or two to make it level when it comes into contact with the ground. I would definitely recommend this as an affordable alternative to paying to have one installed.

Be prepared to have the tie downs fail. The set up isn’t too complicated, but the tie downs failing bring it down to a 0. It’ll need to hook up to the battery, so keep that in mind

I bought this because my mom uses an electric chair and I struggled loading it. Not anymore. Perfect

It is easy-to-use. 1 ratchet strap was damaged in shipping. Takes 2 to mount to the vehicle.

My grandmother (82yo) loves this lift. She had to have it professionally installed. Great quality and value. Allows her more independent freedom to shop, and travel.
