Epic.
As long as u have a strong singna coming in, this is all u need. It’s not an Amp. It works phenomenally. No flaws to mention. Simple to use. Does not need a battery. Good value for money. It’s compact, and sturdy. Audio quality is good too.

Great for in-ear monitors!
A wireless system for my in-ear monitors is far more bulky and complicated than I need; especially when I often work as a solo singer/guitarist with a simple and compact sound system. I'm usually stood fairly close to my mixing desk and not really able to move around the stage very far when I'm playing and singing at the same time, so my first solution was to just connect my in-ears to a headphone cable extender. The issues with this were that I needed an adaptor for the 3.5mm plug (easy to misplace) and the cable itself wasn't very hardwearing and eventually needed some fiddling at every gig before it would work. This handy little box means I can use a balanced jack to XLR instead of the delicate little headphone cable and also have some control of the volume right at my hip. A bonus I hadn't thought of until it arrived is that it is now much easier to send me a monitor feed from bigger systems! Stage boxes and mixing desks that only have an XLR output for my monitor can now send that directly to the PM1. I haven't had it for long, but the metal casing feels fairly robust but also lightweight. Some of the complaints from other reviewers make no sense to me at all, but it's fairly clear that some are making the mistake of trying to use an unbalanced jack to XLR cable or assuming that it would amplify the sound somehow. One thing has occurred to me though and it is that sending from a balanced XLR output (rather than stereo jack) will mean that one of your headphones will be out of phase with the other and I'm not sure how that will sound. Personally, I only use one at a time on stage, so that I can hear the audience and sound in the room, so that won't be an issue for me and if I were to play a much bigger gig with both headphones in and mix my inputs with a "room mic", then I'd probably be using a wireless system anyway.

Really useful little gadget. Just buy it.
This thing is ridiculously useful. As long as you have a good level coming to it from a headphone amp it’s simple and it works no fuss. I’ve used it at gigs and recording and it’s perfect to get your own level. I also got the model up as it had a built in amp but as yet I haven’t had to use it as this has suited my needs.
