cheap but useful
Good price and decent quality. For occasional hobby use these are O.K. If you are a professional engineer youwould buy top quality tools. A set of 3 for ÂŁ7 that can't be bad.

Just a wee cleanup and ready to go
These calipers are a little rough at the tips, but a couple of strokes with a whetstone makes them totally fit for purpose. Others have complained about this and the oily preservative used, but it seems they are not used to workshop practices. The calipers are stable enough to accurately transfer a measurement from the workpiece to the measuring device - job done! Every lathe needs a set of these, great for the price.

Just what I was looking for..and arrived so fast

Crudely made and grubby
These calipers are incredible value. Three medium large calipers made of thick steel with a very strong spring hinge and completely functional. However, they were also incredibly grimey/grubby and needed two wet wipes to clean the oil/dirt from the surface of each one., They were also crudely made with file/abrasion marks still evident on the straight calipers and one leg had the point flattened. Value - yes, quality- no.

Why pay ten times as much when you can get the same results.

You get what you pay for
These items are extremely cheap, so expectations were not high. They are made of quite flimsy metal that allows them to twist so that the point do not meet. This requires great care in use. They also have quite sharp points on the calipers which can leave marks on wood and result in inaccurate measures. For my woodturning purposes I would prefer a (more expensive) higher quality set of tools.

Good cheap set of calipers
I usually steer clear of silverline stuff but needed these in a hurry. Overall very good quality, accurate and reliable. For what they are they represent good value for money. I could have paid more but these are well good enough for my needs
