Does the job and keeps lower leg dry in the shower. I regret not having bought one with the foot enclosed too.

This was a godsend - not only did it do as promised (kept my cast dry) but it arrived very quickly. Being slightly clumsy (or unfortunate?), I have broken a few limbs in my life; this was by far the best and the cheapest solution to showering I have tried. I can't see it working in the bath (ie if it was submerged in water) but it certainly works really well in the shower. Don't go for the "recommended" one from the hospital - in my experience - the last one of those I bought took nearly 2 weeks to arrive, was expensive, uncomfortable and difficult to put on. Go for this one. An added bonus with this is it fits any size cast and I was able to have my fingers poking out the end so I could at least wash under my other arm!!!

Needed after I had to wear plaster cast after breaking my foot. The item is basically strong rubble sack type plastic with elastic and toggle at each end. For the price it's fine, you can have a shower with this covering the cast. I used this for 2 weeks. Then got changed to a boot. It's not 100% waterproof. A couple of times water got in. I recommend a sit down shower with the limb completely out of the water. Works better covering in the bath as a splash resistant cover. But can't wash your hair then! If you will be in plaster for months spend more on a proper waterproof cover. Perhaps use cling film then see what your first orthpaedic visit says!

Bought this for use after an operation on hand (not had yet) but thought I would test it out before due date of operation to see if it worked. Well it does and a lot better than just using a plastic freezer bag (have done before but it kept getting too steamy). Now a shower can be had or washes without the worry of getting anything wet that should be kept dry. I was surprised this came in a small box and the item itself not that much to look at an open ended piece of waterproof material with a fastening at either end. But it worked just fine and price wise not too expensive as reusable for lots of times. Will try it out again when operation done and dressing in place to see if it is still just as good. Tried it out the day after operation, had a bath and normal reaction is to put hands under water. With this I could run the bath and any splashes did not worry me, as stitches kept nice and dry. Just felt a bit odd and did remind myself to be more careful when getting out etc as with this blue sleeve on can not help but see it. Just hang over the bath to dry out until next use. I have used this a few times and will keep it for future use, you can use it in lots of different ways, for arms, legs etc. A bit tricky dependant on which hand you use it on, mine was left hand and am right handed so easier than if not. As you pull the black plastic stopper things to pull it closed. Maybe some help may be needed if hand you write with has the problem. Folded up now and back in box, so worth the money.

Purchased to keep my forearm dry whilst in shower. But despite very tight elastic top and bottom water seeped through the plastic and my dressing got wet. It's very cheap and nasty looking and the kind of thing you would find in a Pound Shop. But if I had seen this properly in a shop I would not of purchased it. My need due a broken wrist left me vulnerable. I ordered via Prime but was only notified after I tried to return it that this is not eligible for refund. So my £9.75 is in the bin (but I will check the consumer law on this). Lesson learnt I won't be ordering any personal items from Amazon any more. Bad product, bad service. I am fuming.

If you need something cheap and fast, this is a great option. In my case, I just needed this until I get stitches out (so I only needed it for 2 weeks). I didn't want to spend $20+ on something I would barely use. You do have to pull it pretty tight, but it does work. It does keep water out if you are in a shower. I don't think I'd reccomend submerging this in a bath or pool, but for running water it functions fine.
