Running Press Adult Harry Potter: Collectible Quidditch Set,,Medium

This is an excellent display piece for any adult or older child's room and is very good value for money. The outer box is made from very strong, sturdy cardboard that features a plastic lock with two accompanying keys. There is also a little push in mechanism at the side of the lock which opens the box. The Quidditch balls can be removed and are quite durable, realistic and a little more heavier than you'd expect (an absolutely positive aspect). As others have mentioned, the Golden Snitch cannot be removed from the box but this does not detract from the overall aesthetics and in any case, I'm not sure this was intended as a 'toy' to be played with as such. At least, I wouldn't recommend it as such for younger children. I bought this for my 12 year old to display on a shelf and she is over the moon with it.

We are a muggle family. I don’t know what prompted us to order this set of quidditch balls. It must have been our daughter’s insistence - she is very much into all this Harry Potter stuff and his bloody magic.The set surely looks nice enough as it is coming in appropriate colours and with lots of ornate detail. A set of tiny plastic keys are included as well. So, albeit a miniature version of the actual game kit, it displays very nicely. I must say our daughter expressed some disappointment that the snitch appears to be fixed on the inside of the top cover. However this is just as well since we don’t own any wands or flying brooms so it would be very hard to get that snitch back in the box.What I don’t understand is that, other than in the literature or movies Amazon sends out these quidditch sets without braces and chains to keep the violent quaffle and bludger balls in place! Yes, there is a small plastic lock on the outside of the box. But you can guess what happenend when we openend the box indoors....Luckily the set also contains a sturdy poster, that we’ve used to cover up the holes in the ceiling.

This is a great fun set for any Harry Potter Fan. OK, so its not high quality but for the price it worth it. No problems experienced with the printing on the balls. You need to remove the plastic tray that the balls sit in to get tot he map. The map is OK. The key and lock are plastic but again, acceptable at the price paid.

i expected the box to be quite a bit smaller than it is so was pleasantly surprised at the size. the box is made of cardboard and had a nice print all around. the back panel where the snitch is held is coming away at the bottom and you can see white underneath but from other peoples photos i can see its not happened to everyone. the poster is ok but doubt i will put it up because its not that great of a design. the keys are plastic and are only used to turn the lock which you can do with your thumbnail just as easy. the balls are well made and heavy, however the print of hogwarts crest on the quaffle looks like a gold splodge. i dont regret buying it because its a great addition to my collection, but its disappointing quality from running press. glad i preordered to get money off because its not worth £20

As a huge fan of Harry Potter, I must say I was a bit cautious before I ordered this as other reviews had reported issues with the quality of the set. I haven't had any problems with the quality, one thing it did take me a while to find was the poster and key it says is included (for those who are struggling to find it, you have to take out the Quidditch set and it is at the bottom of the chest). One thing I would say is it is a shame the Golden Snitch is not removable, like the other components. But overall it is a great little, well made collectors item that can easily take pride of place in a Harry Potter loving home.

For what I consider a relatively cheap price the product is very well presented. The balls are all weighty and all the stitching is present. Yes, the container/chest is made from cardboard but this just adds to the old world feel to the product, for the price should you be expecting wood like some of the other poor reviews? If it was plastic, this would take away the old world look and become quite tacky. The poster is poor but then I didn't buy it for the poster. The Overall the product is authentic and would highly recommend for Harry Potter fans of all ages.
