Filson Medium Field Bag Otter Green 1 One Size

I have a lot of bags, and am constantly searching for the perfect daily carry. This may be it.I was originally suspicious due to the price, and the fact the bag arrived in a shipping box but without any other protection. Filson helped me determine the bag is indeed authentic and carries a warranty.The bag itself is made out of the best materials I have ever held. The thick canvas is perfectly sewn, and thick and sturdy. The leather is thick and strong. My wife (who used to train horses) confirms it just like the bridle leather she worked with.The bag is not as wide as my other messengers, but it is deep and roomy. The side pockets are too small for my water bottles (my one disappointment) but will hold a 20oz drink like one from a vending machine. The rear pocket is better than expected, deep enough to be useful and perfectly placed.The two front pockets are very spacious, and the snaps are sewn to be useful even when the pockets are full. One of the pockets has the sturdiest key leash i have ever seen, with a hook that is almost overkill - the same hook on the straps.The strap seemed too short at first, but I adjusted it to the second to last hole and it sits perfectly on me worn crossbody (I'm 170# and 6' tall).Overall I'm extremely happy. This seems to be a truly lifetime bag. I will likely be passing this down to my children someday.

This is the perfect bag! It's a perfect size, waterproof and tough as nails. I am more than satisfied and take this bag everywhere I go. Because of the flap and the way it's made, for field purposes, I was out the other night in a snowstorm and although the outside of the bag was pelted with snow and ice the inside stays completely dry. Also because of the waxed exterior the elements run off the bag like rain off of a newly waxed car. I cannot say enough about how much I love this field bag. The waxed canvas is thick and nearly indestructible. I have many different types of bags made from many different types of materials and this is the one I grab on a daily basis.

I use this bag as a camera bag when I expect to carry more than a camera and lens. Camera bags themselves usually don't have room to carry anything besides a camera. The Filson adds storage.

This bag is awesome. Beautiful and tough, and just the right size for me. I needed a good gym bag for spinning. Most of the ones on the market are way too big for my needs. So I bought the Filson and it's perfect. Inside, I stash a Yeti 18oz filled with ice water, a set of full-size Bluetooth headphones (Symphony One's), a pair of biking gloves and a sweat towel. In the side pockets? A big set of keys on one end, and my Nexus 6 on the other. Done! (BTW no need to put my shoes in - my spinning class uses shoe straps, not clips, so I wear the same running shoes to the gym, at the gym and home from the gym.) The workmanship is stellar. The leather and the canvas are perfect. So, if you're looking for a smaller bag for the gym, for commuting to work, to fit under an airplane seat, or just for the coffee shop? Look no further...this Filson is it!
