Hardware House 10-1219 Bennington Single-Light Wall Fixture

It came in and my husband had it up 30 minutes later! I love how it looks! The neutral colored lamp shade matches my others in the house.

I installed this chandelier in my dining room about two months ago. It arrived fully intact and was very simple to assemble. The chain is about 42" in length, the fixture adds about 25". Without removing any links, the bottom of the fixture hangs at about 67" from the ceiling. Getting each arm into the right position is a little tricky, but they are extremely simple to move before tightening and so long as you measure the distance between each, this isn't a problem.This chandelier replaced an unsightly, garish brass and white porcelain chandelier that was rather dated. The lighting that is given off by this fixture is extremely warm and pleasant, I hooked it up to a dimmer switch as well because it's nice to have the option. I can truly appreciate the fixture considering its cost and elegant look. It has worked excellently so far and generates more than adequate lighting for a room that is about 12' by 18'.If you have very tall ceilings (12' and above) with an overly spacious room, you certainly may want to consider purchasing a larger chandelier.

This is a beautiful chandelier and I’m very happy with the purchase. I’m a 52-year-old woman and I hung it by myself. I just took my time and it turned out beautifully. Looks much more expensive in person than what I paid for it. It’s a deep rich bronze color and the lamp shades are tinted just right. My ceilings are only 8 foot tall and I cut the chain down to four links. It hangs 32 1/2 inches from dining room table to bottom of chandelier. I spent half the money on this chandelier then I did on the one I replaced it with. I put it on a dimmer switch and it’s gorgeous. Makes the whole room look warmer and richer.

I absolutely love the style of this wall sconce but the color is not what I expected. The two I received looks like a light brown with speckled black spots. I was looking for oil rubbed bronze but I didn't pay enough attention to the description. This is an antique bronze which doesn't match what I am looking for.

This is a very attractive and substantial chandelier. It is larger than I thought it would be, which is a good thing. It's also pretty reasonable. We went to some local lighting stores and saw many chandeliers that looked similar, but cost 2-3X the price. The quality is high. The metal is substantial, the glass tulip shades look smart, and the quality of light is strong. We went with 'upward facing' bulbs so that the lights wouldn't be glaring while we dined. This provides a warm, pleasant glow.It does not come with bulbs. Our light is on a dimmer, and I purchased these Phillips LED dimmable bulbs to use with the lamp:http://www.amazon.com/Philips-409904-423343-2700-800-Dimmable/dp/B004IUMGV4/ref=sr_1_1?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1361493389&sr=1-1&keywords=led+bulb+60+watt+dimmable. They work very well. If you do go with LED bulbs (which last 20 years), make sure they are dimmable! We purchased some non-dimmable ones first and it caused the light to flicker terribly.

This is a nice quality fixture for about 1/2 the price of the big box retailers. Here in Hawaii metal fixtures last only 3-4 years before they crumble into dust even the aluminum ones don't last so I am installing them outside under the eaves with the shade down and they look great. I was tired of spending $60-70 for 4 lights every 4 years. At $5 per year I am getting a real bargain! I will spray the metal with clear polyurethane just to keep it from rusting a little slower.

We replaced a hideous fixture with this. It is really nice looking. It was a trick to hang, esp. as it is in the 2nd floor hallway. We ended up hanging it from the cross brace with extra ground wire and that freed up a hand to do the wiring. Once we solved that problem it was fairly easy to install. We hung it pretty high though because it would hit your head going down the stairs if we didn't -- poor planning on the home builder.
