"total 200ft,black and red each color 100ft" this really means the reel is only 100 feet long. deceptive listing yes?

OP is right, electrical wire is calculated as total length of all conductors together, this is misleading advertising. It specifically says, “2 conductor… 200 feet” then goes off to explain 100 feet each. If you buy 10 feet of electrical extension cable with 3 conductors, they can’t advertise it as 30 feet and in brackets put (10 feet white, 10 feet black, 10 feet green). This is shady marketing.

Can I use this to rewire chandelier sockets? I bought 18-2 and it's too thick to snake through the chandelier arms.

normally 18 gauge is the minimum size for fixture wiring. the silicone wire would be more difficult to pull because it is sticky. look for 18-2 wire with a thinner insulation pvc?

Can I use this to wire a wall control panel for a garage door opener? Original wire 22 awg. About 35' of under ground conduit from detached garage.

Should not be a problem. It is a heavier gauge wire.

I love the fact that the wire is so supple to use. I'm still getting used to the fact, however, that it is tinned copper. But from all reports it seems that it protects from corrosion, lasts longer. With the silicone rubber covering it is very supple and easy to use. It might be a little harder to 'fish' it through small spaces so you might use something to fish through and attach the wire and pull through first. All in all, I like it.
