Cat Sushi Bonito Flakes, Classic Cut, 0.7oz

I bought this because I read somewhere that bonito flakes are a good food topper to get a cat to eat. My cat wouldn't eat his new food, but he did when I added this. I love that it's just tuna and not a bunch of additives. I can't say I like the smell, but it smells like it should and the cats get excited as soon as I open it. I think the price is good because I only use a little each time. I don't need it to get him to eat, but it's still a good treat.

This is a great healthy treat for your cats. It has a very strong fishy type odor to it that cats seem to like. It has all natural healthy ingredients. The pieces are thin and at first glance they look like bacon. They crumble easily for a food topper or give by itself.

Perfect for garnishing your cat's fancy meals. I recommend serving it with some paté, a little Churu, some cat grass, and a meowtini.Strong smell, cats love it.

My cat is obsessed with these flakes. She'd live on them if I let her. She's a former street cat who adopted me. She went from street kitty to bougie kitty that eats "cat sushi." The flakes smell awful - very fishy - go figure. My cat loves them, though, and that's all that matters. They are kind of expensive, but I'm willing to pay for this specific brand because I feel like they're better quality than other brands.

I have used bonito flakes in soup stock for ages. Never thought of it as a snack for my kitties. Bought a small bag previously and would add it as a topper for one of my picky eaters and it was so satisfying to watch her gobble up all of her wet food with this added on top. This value bag is huge, even though only 4 oz. Bonito flakes weigh next to nothing so don't worry, you are getting much bang for your buck. Also I wonder if I could use this to make my soup stock...? haha probably... it smells exactly like what I buy from the Japanese grocery stores. oooh come to think of it, maybe I could make bonito stock for the kitties, to encourage them to drink more water. I shall update if I am successful!

My cat cannot live without this now so I hope you keep making it. I tried the cheaper one and my cat would not go near it once she smelled it. I fear for my life, or at least the surface of my face, if I dare deprive her of it. For anyone buying it, the thick cut is not much different from the regular cut.

Three cats have tried it... only one went back for more -- and then would'nt touch it again.The product smells fresh, is innovative in that you can use it as a topper or even as a meal.It doesn't make it where it matters: my cats hate it.It was a pretty expensive experiment.EDIT: But the manufacturer offered me a refund that's worth 2 additional stars.

My cat goes insane for this. He is particular on treats and this is his absolute favorite.
