Unionbay Men's Rainier Lightweight Comfort Travel Tech Chino Pants

This is one of my favorite pants for travel. It comes with three zippered pockets including one on the side where I carry my passport while traveling abroad. I bought couple of these pants at Costco many years ago and loved them. I am so glad that I found, again.

It is great to find Union Bay "tech" pants again. Many years ago, they were sold thru Costco---and they sold out quickly. I was fortunate to get a pair but after 7-years they needed to be replaced. I could not find them until recently and found them on Amazon. These pants have zippered rear pockets--besides the special phone pocket. The pants stretch as you move. I purchased one in every color they had.

Washed my one, new by hand in a hotel room this morning. four thousand miles from home. Spent ten hours away, roaming the city, population one million. Hot, humid weather; room had no A/C. I left its window but it had mostly shut itself when I returned to the house. But these slacks, hung to dry in the shower, were COMPLETELY DRY. So that's what they mean by "travel" slacks. Okay, they're water repellent, but how many travelers need that? I just ordered two more pairs. I went with a smaller waist size because they were roomier than expected, plus the waist stretches as easily as well-chewed bubble gum. Their surface is a little slick or slippery , perhaps from water repellent. The surface means the legs make a quiet zippy sound if they brush one another. Not sure how the slacks breathe in hot weather. They were okay in moderate. . . . But this Quick Dry trumps other considerations, for travel.

Compared these pants with another pair at the same price, and these have a snugger fit around the butt and crotch area, which isn't uncomfortable, but look a lot better.

Great pants- look and feel wonderful and hold their shape. Wore these pants several days traveling in Europe and so pleased with them that I bought a second pair

These are great travel pants and one of the few with zippers on both back pockets. They are light, easy to care for and dry very quickly. My only complaint is the back pockets are just a tad bit too short for large phones like the Pixel XL Pro. The good news, if you can sew, is that the pockets hang loose from from the outer material so adding a little length is not a big issue. I'm 6'1" ish and need a 34+ inseam. These pants just meet my needs. I own several pair and just ordered another.

My initial assessment is that these are very nice ... with one complaint below. Well made, I like the fabric. Lightweight and not bulky compared to packing blue jeans. I got these for trave and I look forward to using them. I'm happy.My complaint is that the leg pocket is not deep enough for larger phones. The fronts are deep enough, albeit not zippered like the rears and leg pockets.FWIW, I saw one online review of these commenting that the leg length was a bit long. I do not find that the case with my pair. Mine are advertised as 32" length, and they measure 30 3/4" down the leg seam. That explains why, when trying them on, I thought they could use a bit more length. Note that I like a little break on the shoe rather than too short.

I love the look and feel, but the product arrived with a 2" split in the inner seam of the left leg :(Will update the review if my replacement pair seems to be of better quality material
