Updating this review after washing and wearing a few times. It is a super comfortable, cheerful casual dress. I have worn it on dog walks, to the beach, even once to the office with a fancy belt and nice accessories. It's well worth the money spent although not 'ideal' on my body type. Adding a photo of it in action on the beach, where i feel it works best (casual, breezy). Fabric wrinkles easily but the wrinkles also release easily. To be fair i had to modify my review because it's much nicer than my first reaction.As soon as I tried this on I thought “oh hell NO!!” as it made my petite, thin frame look squat and dumpy. I only bought it to throw on as a cheap beach cover up so I didn’t have high fashion expectations but it’s a bit unflattering on me. The elastic waist sits above my waist awkwardly and the skirt is awkwardly long, shapeless and baggy. Odd through the hip. That said it looks decent with a jacket giving it a little shape or belted. The pink color is stunning. On a taller girl I could see this being really nice! I think I’m keeping it (for an $8 beach cover, I can even tie my sarong as a belt or wear as a shawl to compliment the formless mass of skirt). I worried that the bust wouldn’t fit because I have a smaller chest but the bust is actually really flattering. Go figure.Also I believe viscose shrinks so I might try a little dryer magic to see if that helps!!

FIT: So many dresses on Amazon are for tiny people but here in North America the average size is much larger. It is not enough to just scale up a pattern. You have to design differently for a fuller figure. I am a size 16 and this dress is super cute. It is flattering. It accommodates a larger bust. The thicker straps hide bra straps. This is such an important detail. So many dresses are cute but with a halter neck or thin straps, don't work for us busty gals.FABRIC: It is not see through. Yay! The fabric has a decent weight but is still cool and comfy. The pattern is cute. One wash so far. Wrinkly on exit but not horrible.OVERALL: Honestly, after so many misses and returns, really happy to see Amazon create a winner here. Make more like this. Full figure. Wider straps. There is a massive market - no pun intended.

These looked so cute on line. I ordered the yellow/pink and the blue/white striped. I was disappointed in the fabric, but I didn't know what "flurry" twill was. I expected a heavier fabric. The dresses were very wrinkled, even after hanging for a few days. I received the yellow first and tried it on. It was a little snug below the elastic waist and clung in an odd way. After I received the blue one I almost didn't even try it on, but I did. It wasn't snug like the yellow one. I checked and both were size small. Although the blue one fit, it wasn't a good style on me.The part of the dress between the elastic waist and the tier seem at the bottom is basically straight rather than A -line, which I thought.The photos are not great, but you can see a bit of size difference between the two.For reference, I am 5'9" and 125lbs

Ok, so I like to buy multiples of the same cut dresses/tops if I like the style and fit on me. For this dress, I've gotten the blue/white stripe, the animal print, the green, the white confetti, the navy and the black. Size L fits best for me - 5'4", 155-160#, no shape at all :D. I like the material on the blue/white, it seems thicker than the other ones. If I were to rank the different dresses, I would rank them in the order of how I listed them above (blue/white stripe the best, least navy and black). The ranking is based on the fit. The size L on these dresses are not cut the same and they don't fit me the same way. The navy and black ones seem a little tighter than the other ones. The white confetti is a pretty print but it's more sheer. Also the zipper, like some reviewers said, is not necessary, in my opinion. I have washed these dresses in the machine (cold wash) and dried them in the lowest setting. No shrinkage.

I have this dress in 3 different colors, the white with dots, navy and the green pattern. Initially I ordered the pink and white together and I am so glad I did because I could compare. I hated the pink and loved the white. Had I only ordered the pink one, I would've thought this dress was not for me. But the moment I put on the white one, I was shocked at how much I loved it, since I absolutely hated the pink one. So you just have to try different ones to really know. Size wise I'm usually a M rarely L in stores dresses, but mostly L in Amazon dresses. I got L and it is comfortably loose so that I don't have to use the zipper and just pull it over my head, but it's not too big on me. I use a skinny tan belt and tan sandals and it looks really good. I think if you have to use the zipper then you're in an incorrect size and need to size up.I also tried the blue stripe and it was much too narrow on me in the hips, so it runs a smaller than the other colors I have.
