Works great, persevere when getting the old plastic off!
Great replacement for my 02 Honda Civic. I used a pair of wire cutters to get the old plastic off, take off slightly more than the length of the latch itself, since the rod needs to get fully inside it. Took me about ten minutes to get the plastic off, had to chip away at it, just keep at it and you'll manage.

It’s metal and not plastic
Superior to OEM plastic release. It’s solid with a set screw. It will not break. It’s a chore to cut an inch of plastic off of the metal cable end, but once it’s off it fits in the new release. Tighten the set screw and you are good. The red color looks great.

Worked on a JDM version
This was designed for a left hand drive car. My car is right hand drive. This installed with a bit more effort as the set screws are on the right hand side, making it difficult to tighten as they are the same side as the body of the car. However, it is doable with some patience.

Easy install and working great! Made of aluminum and should out last the car. Looks like the original just way better quality. For the price and quality this is the way to go!

2004 Honda Element
Worked perfect for my 2004 Honda Element. I just needed to cut away the old plastic from the broken off piece before screwing the new piece on.
