If you grew up eating canned chili, even if now you can’t or won’t eat that for various reasons, but maybe you secretly miss the taste and convenience, buy this. It’s vegan but it tastes exactly like the canned chili with meat you used to eat. Exactly!! Not low sodium but not insanely bad. And yummy! And so so easy. Throw together a little fast coleslaw. Chop up some cabbage, add a little caraway, salt and pepper, and a little sour cream or mayo, boom, you have coleslaw. Maybe if you are weird like me add a little pickle relish? Chili from a can that makes you feel a little guilty, but is vegan and familiar and delicious, and fast home made coleslaw, boom, dinner.

Better than their vegetarian chili, which I don't like. The vegetable protein pieces are good sized and chewy. Very tasty. There are a good amount of beans and they have good texture. There is something in it, however, that has a mushy texture, but not sure what that is (tomato pieces?). I don't like that at all. The base is thick and helps to make this a filling chili. Price-wise, this is the best vegetarian chili for the money I have found. Amy's is better but not worth the difference in price. I will probably only buy Amy's in the future for vegan chili dogs. This will be my goto chili from now on.

I love this Chili. If I could duplicate it I would!! I've ordered it twice, and I'll order it again!! -- It's a bit pricey, but it's worth it!!!

I was impressed by this product because it is vegan and tastes better than any other canned chili I have ever eaten. I will keep it in supply, so I can have a quick and easy vegan meal. The only complaint I have is that the sodium content is really high. I am ordering some other beans that don't have much sodium in them, so I can add to this chili to dilute the sodium. I will be using the chili on top of spaghetti and pasta, plus nuked potatoes. Thanks, Hormel! I just hope you offer a lower sodium version, but if not I'll try diluting the sodium with other beans or foods. Someone complained about the taste of the "meat", which is actually soy protein. I've been eating vegan for a while and it really tastes fine to me, but if you really love meat and hate soy protein, don't buy this product. Try their other meat chilis.

Great taste, I think it taste better than their original vegetarian chili. Plus, it’s higher in protein.
