Awesome
This is definitely a Tim Taylor, ToolTime "more power!" toy. Just turning it on brings a smile. It's a joy to use and a great addition to any shop.

Comparing against a Wide Belt Sander/Time Saver I am quite impressed!!
I was hesitant to purchase this as I was opening my first cabinet shop and had only used wide belt sanders (Time Savers) previously working for others. The budget I had to work with allowed either a narrower 15" wide belt sander (Time Saver) or this 37" Drum Sander. I opted for the 37" so I could sand table tops, larger cabinet doors, and larger face frames in one pass. My main concern was it wouldn't perform as well and I wouldn't be satisfied with it. However I can say I am very pleased and have been the past three years. It gives the same end result as a timesaver, only difference is it takes a few more passes. Depending on the material i'd say it can take 2-5 more passes than a wide belt sander. (Time Saver). The dust ports work extremely well and very little sawdust makes it to the air and basically none is left on the finished work piece. The dual drum is also nice, I can sand with two different grits on one pass if I want. I'm not sure how it would do in a busy production shop with multiple employees but for the smaller 1-3 man shops I don't think you will regret it.
