So smooth!!
It was my first time trying this tea and I gotta say the first thing is how it smells both when you open it and when it's brewed its soo good! It came a day early and it's super fresh. It's super smooth and real dark and earthy I love it. As for how long it lasts if you do it in the traditional gongfu style it'll go for about fifteen steps so it's super good for the price I paid. It taste so good it has this really deep dark chocolate flavor to it that my wife and I love. With it I don't want anymore soda or any sweet drinks it's gotten me completely off the sugary drinks.

My favorite tea. This loose leaf seems to be good quality, plenty of flavor and color.

Robust, Smooth, Earthy, Acquired Taste
This was my first experience with a puer and I think it fills an important place along the taste spectrum. On one end you have the light green teas. On the other end lies a robust and complex tea like puer. This is a tea meant for those who are purposely interested in challenging their noses and taste buds with a new experience.Pros:- An acquired taste. A new flavor experience. If you're used to typical black teas with their tanginess, bitterness, and relatively consistent flavor profile, you'll probably be a little surprised by this tea. The flavor is pretty strong, so you might want to start out with a light brew to become accustomed to the new flavor. I liken it to one's first experience with strong-tasting wild game meat after a lifetime of eating domestic beef: There's nothing scientifically hazardous about it, but it's a new experience for the nose and taste buds.- Smooth and earthy. I brew with near-boiling water and I don't taste any bitterness with this tea. I don't detect any sweetness either. It's the tea equivalent of a robust, dry red wine with a good bit of tannin. In fact, I find it to be a good palate-cleansing addition to sweet foods like pancakes.- High in caffeine. This is definitely a "wake me up" tea.- You can get 2 to 3 steepings out of each serving.- The nose is much more pronounced than a typical black tea. Very earthy with notes of rich black soil and fermented hay. It reminds me of the varied scents one experiences at a ranch or farm...animals, silage, hay, rich soil, etc.Cons:- High in caffeine. More than one strong cup will give me a pretty good headache, and if I drink a cup much past 3pm, I'll be awake until late into the night.

I like it 👍
This is the second tea I bought from this brand and so far I like their products. The previous tea was Earl grey which I loved 😍 PuErh tea is softer but balanced. I added some milk and it's very good 👍

I May not be a TEA extroardinare or know anything about tea but from all the great reviews on this tea and the wonderful information provided about it. It sounded great. However when i got it i was extremely dissapointed. The reason being is it literally smells like a cow pasture. Not only did it smell like that but it tasted like that as well. I hope that the people that actually drink this and enjoy it are gaining some kind of health benefit, because it is not worth the cow patty that went into this stinking stuff. If you dont believe me buy it go for it and then up vote me when im right. If you happen to enjoy this Farmhouse brew which is what me and my 5 other coworkers that tried it and smelled it are calling it then down vote me. We even went as far to hide a glass of the Cow turd thirst quencher behind something at someones desk in an attempt to stink them out. FYI i will not be purchasing this brand of processed cow feed ever again.

High quality teas at a great value
I have never had a bad cup from the Tao of Tea company. Plus, you can read the labels that tell you exactly what the tea is like. I also appreciate that they tell you how many times you can reuse the tea leave (twice, at least three times, etc) which makes it clear they want you to enjoy the tea, not just make a buck off of you. I also really enjoy the double lid the containers have. It's like each batch of tea deserves its own special container. As far as this Pu-er tea goes, I found it to be dark and earthy like the label says. It's just a nice complex taste without any bitterness. Very nice!

Fine high quality puerh , big quantity
I have been drinking the numi emperors puerh. Amd loved it , but when I tried this. It’s sooo much smoother and silkier and milder. This is what High quality priority should taste like according to a Chinese article of tea connoisseurship. This tea taste like fresh pure sweet spring water with no bitterness and rich sophisticated mushroomy flavor. Also this is a lot of tea for this price, and the box is much bigger than I expected. Some other comments talked about the fishy smell, yes. Some types of puerh tea have fishy smell but it doesn’t mean that it’s expired it’s just growing in the coastal region in China. Also the fishy smell will not be in the tea. You can only smell it from the dry leaves.
