Careful, this is not a way to make the Craps table an ATM! As an engineer I love the principle, as a Gambler it doesn't work
Careful, this is not a way to make the Craps table an ATM!As an engineer I love the principle of throwing the dice the same configuration (set), the same angle, velocity, speed and location on the table, in order to get repeatable outcomes, or avoid the 7, but as a seasoned Gambler, Student of this throwing method (since 2006) and betting system, and having shot the dice with the author and the Dominator and many of their instructors in live casinos, I know it doesn't work in real life.Yes, you will eventually have a 30-40 roll hand, but average the total rolls out and you will not be more than 1-3 rolls better than the average "random" shooters' hands. I have witnessed over 25 different friends "confidently lose" hundreds of dollars in a single session, and thousands of dollars per month, as they perfected this GTC shooting method over years of practice and live play.Casinos that used to give me and others heat to hit the back wall harder, now realize what a cash boon "controller shooters" are to their bottom line. Then, if you happen to have a good 20+ hand roll, the casinos will get all over you to "just pick up the dice and throw them, or you won't shoot again!!!"I know the authors Frank and Dom make a killing at selling this book, and other casino books, and their classes are the true money cows!

Interesting Ideas About Dice Control...but does it work?
A few years ago, I pick up the game of craps in Las Vegas and have since fell in love with the game. During the past year, I can across individuals who would "set the dice" during their roll in an attempt to influence the next roll. Interested about this dice setting trend, I purchased the book (also comes with a DVD) to learn more about it.This book is not for anyone who wants to learn the game of craps, basic betting strategies, or money management. Most of the money management and strategy is based of the shooter being able to "set the dice". So if you want to learn the basic rules of craps, I would not recommend this book. The author makes the case by setting the dice a certain way and throwing them a certain way (making sure both of the dice are rotating on the same axis) that you can reduce the possibility of certain numbers to come up and increase the possibility of certain numbers to appear.***My Opinion on Dice Setting After Reading the Book***While in theory it sounds reasonable, the real life application is extremely hard to do. There are many factors that could affect the outcome (the corners of the dice, the chips on the felt, where they land and hit the wall). Furthermore, even if the shooter does it perfectly, you still can not eliminate unwanted results (such as a 7).If you have one or two great roll while setting dice, you have a strong possibility in believing the system works over random rolling. If you have a bad roll, you will believe you did not do it correctly. Hence, unless you believe that dice setting does not work, you will buy into this system over time.If you feel more confident and believe that setting the dice will allow you to win the come out roll and make your point, then do it. While in my opinion it does not work compare to random rolling, anything to increase confidence in shooting in not a bad thing? We need all the confidence we can get if they bounce off the table or a new stick is coming in :-)

Fun read, not buying into the dice control thing
I've read a bunch of Frank's books. He is by far the most entertaining and talented gambling writer out there. His anecdotes and "gang" stories are a blast. I still can't believe that you can get a significant edge through dice control. Obviously I have no practical basis to prove him wrong. Unless I build a practice table and throw thousands of times (or attend one of his courses that he advertises), I will never be able to back up my thinking.However.....if I can show up at a table with him and his gang and ride his coattails and make some moolah....I will believe :)His "5-count" however, is useful to me, even though I'm also not sure if it is statistically reliable. My last trip to Vegas I didn't win a whole lot by following his advice, but I managed to finish to the black....not true of most of my other visits. I still recommend this book, just because it's great reading.
