As expected
Bought this to replace the dip tube in my gas water heater. Easy install and came on time. You have to cut it to the size of your water heater which was easy enough to do. I hope that I don't need another one of these for a long time, but if I did this would be the one to get. I would recommend this and you can't beat the price and shipping.

Exactly as described
Only thing I didn't like was that it had to be cut to size, which it tells you in the description. The assembly fixed my problem, and it fit just fine after cutting to size (no leaks from it either.

Thicker than OEM, snug fit, but worked great!
My Lochinvar KMA050KD originally had a 3/8 or . 5inch diameter dip tube. I had to chisel off some minerals from the hole, but it did eventually fit snug. Threaded perfectly, even if it fails in a few years this was money well spent to get hot water and not waiting for a plumbing supply store to order the OEM dip tube.

Fixed it. Hot water for dayz
Replaced thermostats and elements with no luck. Bought this, drained the water, install new dip tube, then removed lower element, looked inside to find a mound of rust and lime and old dip tube. So I taped some 3/4 irrigation black tube to my shop vac hose and sucked it out then flushed it 5 times. Now the water heater works like new and it was built in 1994

Just what I needed.
Hard to find piece, all my local plumbing stores didn't have one even close to what I needed. I required a dip tube with 5"-6" die-electric nipple for my water heater. This was the only place I could find it with such fast, free shipping and at a reasonable cost. Fit perfect, should last as long as the water heater does.

1 hour and $20 later not one complaint from family about cold water!!!! Saved me from buying new hot water heater!!
Great product!!! Worked perfectly on 40 Gallon Gas GE hot water heater. Was always running out of hot water and this fixed it. The old one was a PAIN to take out but once out the tube was gone. Great design. The nipple is taller in this one and should help the tube from failing again. The tube is also flexable so if you have a short roof above the hot water heater you can bend it just a bit to get the new one in there. The nipple on the old one will eggshell while trying to remove it. Just allow time for this job. Took me about an hour or so to get everything done. I had to buy a new smaller hot water heater hose because the extra height of the new. Good luck!!
