Coaster Nelms Casual Deep Brown Dining Chair

Bought the first set of 4 chairs 14 months ago, and VERY happy still. How happy? I have bought more.Appearance: true to the pictures, dark wood (yes wood), with a very dark brown cushion/back. Nice touch is the cushion material is also on the back side of the seat back (see pic). All in all, a very nice looking chair.Durability: I bought these chairs to replace the chairs that replaced the chairs that came with our kitchen table. (sorry, have a special needs child that can slam a chair down). These chairs have held up extremely well, where others have not lasted. I do see one post of cracking material, but with over a year over everyday use, they have held up extremely well, no cracking in any of the material.Assembly: Don't worry, pretty easy, 10 minutes per chair and everything is provided. Attach the front legs to the seat with provided bolts and washers (2 each leg). Attach the seat to the back/rear leg piece (2 bolts each side). Put the final bolt through the seat to the seat back. That's it. All bolts provided as is the Allen Wrench. Total time: 10 min per chair.Packaging: It would take a major hit to damage these things in transit. Packaged two per box, but they are wrapped in plastic, encased in Styrofoam, in a box, inside another box. All the chairs came to me in perfect condition, and quickly.Final Verdict: Would I but again? Yes. Comfortable, durable, good looking, at a really good price. So, putting my money where my mouth is, I did buy more so that we could have a set of 6 at the kitchen table. And when we were throwing a party and needed more chairs for the table in the basement, another four. My wife loves the looks, the comfort, and the fact that she can move the chairs around and have complete matching sets to entertain. Extremely Happy & Highly recommend.

We've had these chairs for about 5 months and are pleased with our purchase. The first few days the foam in the seat felt stiff, but after it's broken in, is quite comfortable. Sturdy and no worries about larger guests sitting in them. The faux leather is easy to wipe clean. Glides on the leg bottoms allow the chairs to slide across our laminate wood floor with minimal effort. Easy to assemble with the included allen wrench, but be careful to watch the bolt lengths. On the last chair (of 6) I accidentally used a longer bolt in the center of the back and poked through the wood. I was able to repair it with a bit of wood glue and if you didn't know it was there, you would never notice. It's my own fault for not paying close attention so I did not deduct a star.An assembly tip I learned somewhere on the internet: Assemble the chairs, but leave the bolts just a little bit loose. Sit in the chair on a level floor. This evenly distributes the weight load and allows the legs to adjust to make them level. Without moving the chair, tighten the bolts the rest of the way. This will require crawling on the floor and lying on your back like a car mechanic, but it's worth it!

Ok, really happy with these chairs. Almost took a star off because it takes 3 -5 days before they ship even though they are Fulfilled by Amazon and I am an Amazon Prime member. Someone told me Amazon doesn't always play by their own rules and they have these chairs drop shipped from another vendor, not sent directly from their warehouse. Left it as 5 stars because the product page said accurately when they would ship. Anyway...These chairs replaced some cheapo ones we had got at a local big box store a few years ago, which fell apart. Right away I could tell these are high quality. When I opened the box, I could smell wood stain. The hardware is very solid; I think it's brass. The chairs themselves are very solid and well-made.The assembly instructions were very clear. I agree it's overkill to include two sets of instructions in the same box, but oh well.With the first chair, I followed the instructions exactly, and it was wobbly. Then I took the advice of another reviewer: I loosened the bolts a little, had my husband sit on the chair, and tightened them again. The wobble disappeared. I assembled the second chair this way as well: made the bolts barely hand-tight, had my husband sit on the chair, and tightened them fully while he sat. No wobble.Very happy with these chairs.

I have to say, the second I hit the "submit order" button I was having second thoughts. Although, for the most part, these chairs had great reviews. As I tracked the box location was still experiencing mixed feelings thinking to myself that it will be a massive chore to return these chairs should they not meet my expectations. I'm a HUGE fan of AMAZON, however this was my first large furniture purchase. The shipping literally took 2 days and when the box arrived it was in perfect shape, which was one of my worries. I can honestly say that upon opening the box I was amazed...these chairs were very carefully packed, probably the best packaging I've seen from a shipped item. While I was unwrapping each piece, my excitement grew. I was extremely impressed that they were actually made of REAL wood which I must say is rare these days. As the first chair came to life, I was overwhelmed with happiness and thought to myself...good god this chair is absolutely beautiful! Within 25 minutes both were completely assembled (which a 10 year old could have managed) and I could NOT have been happier with my choice! Overall rating for shipping, packing, assembly & finished product...10 stars! :-)
