Moist and delicious
I have been purchasing meatless roast from Trader Joe’s for years, but it was not available this year so I purchased this product for thanksgiving. Everyone loved this roast over Trader Joe’s roast. It was moist and flavorful.I didn’t encounter any issues with roasting it. I bought it on Monday and kept it in a fridge instead of freezer. On Thursday, took some small baby potatoes, carrots and celery; cut them in half or small pieces. Seasoned with roasted potatoes seasoning, salt and pepper. Added oil on the veggies, placed roast on top and covered in foil. Backed it at 400F for about 90 minutes then opened the foil and cooked it for 10 minutes. Now, this will be the roast that I will be serving at my thanksgiving dinner from this year onwards.

Flavorful Vegan turkey roast
Meat eaters loved it. Tastes like real turkey and gravy. I defrosted the roast over night wrapped it in foil and threw it in the oven at 425. It was done in 1hr. I used a meat thermometer which read 180 and it came out perfect.

Tastes great but had to modify cooking directions
My brother is a vegan, so I wanted to make him a separate vegan turkey for our Thanksgiving dinner. I came across this one and it looked delicious. But upon reading the reviews, I was prepared for changes in the cooking directions. Many stated that when they followed the package directions, it made their turkey loaf brick hard and inedible. Another reviewer, thankfully, specified their adjusted lower and shorter cooking time and temp and it turned out good, so I decided to do the same.I placed it on a wire rack on top of a baking sheet, covered with foil, baked at 400 degrees for 40 minutes, then at the 40-minute mark I removed the foil and baked it for an additional 15 minutes. I then checked the internal temp (package says it should reach 165) and it read only 40 degrees and I noticed that the center stuffing was still rather hard and slightly frozen!! But if I continued to bake it to cook the center, the outside would overcook and harden. So I decided to take out the turkey loaf at that moment, sliced it up into about 1/2 inch-slices, laid the slices flat and spread them out on the rack, and covered it with foil. I lowered the oven temp to 375 and continued to bake it for another 20 minutes. My brother said it was perfect!! I honestly don’t see how this could be baked whole (i.e., without slicing it up and ventilating the inside of the loaf) without overcooking the outside or undercooking the inside. By slicing the loaf later, you ensure the insides are cooked without compromising the outer part of the loaf. With these adjustments, it turned out great! As for taste, my brother stated that he enjoyed the flavors (both turkey and gravy), but mentioned that non-vegans would probably prefer a bit more salt or spice in them. He liked the texture and the stuffing a lot. He’s a big fan of cranberries, so the cranberries in this dish was a big plus for him. He totally recommends this turkey!

Yummy
So good, wonderful flavors and generous sized loaf. We love it at our house. Easily serves 6 happy eaters. You will want to finish the entire loaf cuz it loses its flavor and the texture changes if re-heated. Thanks Gardein ))

Delish!! A great plant based alternative.
Easy instructions for roasting. Comes with gravy packets as well. Quite a delicious plant based alternative for traditional turkey dinners and holidays.

Delicious!
This is the best out there hands down. Very flavorful! I love the stuffing and I'm not a fan usually. I highly recommend.

Inflammatory canola oil & not organic. Needs improvement to be healthier option.
I like this holiday roast, especially the gravy. However, improvements needed to ensure this is a healthy option. For example: 1.) Replace the toxic inflammatory canola oil to an non-inflammatory oil such as organic avocado, extra virgin organic olive oil or coconut oil. 2.) Replace the wheat flour with a sprouted organic type grain, 3.). Make entire product organic. Love that it's vegan and the taste, but not the unhealthiness of it. Step up yr game. Garden. We deserve healthier. You are on the right track, but not quite there.
