My son is 5'3.5" and 95#. He is very athletic and has a muscular build. A slim/skinny cut does not work for him. I bought these in a size 12 last year, and since he outgrew them, I purchased these in a size 14 this year. Straight out of the package, the slacks are a little big: the waist is about 2" bigger than the size 12s we bought last year, and they are about 2" longer than the size 12s. That's quite a bit bigger for just one size up. At first, they fit more like a size 16. However, when I washed them on cold and dried them on high heat with other light-colored clothes, they shrank closer to a size 14. The good news is that now they fit great in the waist, seat, and upper legs. The inner buttons helped with the exact waist sizing. They are still about 1" too long for my son, but I can hem them and let them out. The quality is still exceptional. They are thick chino material and should hold up to some wear. The color did not run or fade. I am very pleased.

I love these. They always fit great. And it’s the easiest way to dress up the boys. The pants are strong, durable, but soft and comfortable. They look good with collared shirts m, button downs, t-shirts, dry fit tops; sneakers, slip on dress shoes, even sandles. You can dress it up with a jacket, cardigan, or a simple sweatshirt goes well with it too.

I purchased these pants for my 9 year old sons musical performance. He's pretty tall for a 9 year old and these fit him to the T with a little extra room for growth. They are fairly light weight, comfortable with a little stretch and have the gatherings in the waist to accommodate a fluxuating waistline. Got these for my kid and they’ve been working out really well. They’ve got a little stretch to them, so they’re actually comfortable and not stiff like some pants can be. Honestly I am giving these pants 5 stars on the fabric alone! It is not so stretchy and it is thick yet breathable. The sizing is wayyyyy off, I ordered a xxl for one of my girls who is a little on the chunkier side and ended up fitting my other daughter (very snug)who is normally a medium/large.

Bought for my boys preschool graduation. One boy it was a little loose in the waist even with a 6 slim. But I had suspenders for him to wear. They looked so good on him. One boy they didn't fit, I should have gotten him just a size 6 reg. The slim was too little in the waist. But they are amazing quality and feel really nice.
