BernatBlanket O'GO Yarn, 1 Pack, Monochrome

I got this yarn in hope of making a throw blanket. Which I did. It comes in a pack of 2 and I’ve bought 2 so far (total of 4) and I need about 2 more to finish. Idk the size cause I just went with what I like and I did use a tight stitch and it’s easy to work with and so soft

Love this yarn! It was my first time using it and I made a baby blanket that is gorgeous! It meets its claim of no tangles and was super easy to work with! I will definitely buy some again in different colors (self striping)!

I love it! I've bought the pack of two twice now, and it's a good bargain. I have used it for making Amigurumi crochet animals and it works great. It is a blanket yarn, so it can be hard to find your stitches if you are not used to using a Blanket yarn. For that reason, I gave 4 stars on "Easy to Use", otherwise it's a great yarn, sturdy yet soft. I will buy again!

I made a blanket out of this yarn for my husband and it's wonderful! I absolutely love this yarn. I ended up buying 12 skeins to finish the blanket and it fits my queen size bed. I love the value for the money, everywhere else I looked it was way more expensive.

Yarn is a soft and strong quality

I don’t know why the O’Go yarns never gained traction - I LOVE this skein style. I love it because it’s wrapped up like a long cone, which makes pulling the yarn a piece of cake! You just unwrap it - no trying to find the center pull, no yarn vomits, no tangles. Just snip open the circle, pull out the little plastic filament that tied it together, and you’re off! So easy!!The yarn itself is soft and thick - a chenille style that feels pleasant against the skin but doesn’t slip as much as ‘normal’ yarn like a Super Saver.The packaging recommends an L hook for crochet, and size 11 needles for knitting (American). I crochet large blankets with an N hook - 6 skeins, about 80 sts in the moss stitch however many rows I get out of the skeins, joining the new ones as I go. It makes a beautiful blanket that’s durable enough to be washed over and over again. Note that the yarn is super absorbent and will make projects heavy when you wash them.I love the self striping and, in my work, just let the skein unravel. But I know you can separate the three colors easily and create other patterns. Good or bad, the color change is made by a cut and knot in the yarn, not by dyeing.As with any yarn, sometimes you have knots denoting breakage. In my experience, I’ve seen about 5% of skeins with a breakage knot.The colors are truly amazing. Vibrant and rich, I’ve gone ‘overboard’ several times in my purchases! They’re completely colorfast - no fading or bleeding when washed.Because the O’Go style has been discontinued people are charging a premium for the yarn, hoping people like me who love it so much will pay the extra price. I’ve seen this exact same yarn at my local outlet store for $6, they just didn’t have enough. Most of the attributes I’ve described here can apply to any Bernat yarn, so you don’t HAVE to get the O’Go. I think this listing is WAY overpriced - even though I still bought it because I needed it. Look at your outlet stores and other discount places to get a better deal if you still want the O’Go, but the Bernat Blanket works just as well (except for the self striping).

This is really soft blanket yarn. It’s my first time using this form of skein and once I understood how they were wound, it worked great. If you need to separate the colors, pull apart at color change. Then pull one end or the other. One will pull from the inside which is super easy to use.

Cute yarn if you’re going for colour blocking. I found it slightly annoying to unwrap around the “horn” but that’s minor. Colours were vibrant and as pictured.

Very poor!! also smaller than other Ogo yarn, so it works out that the two bundles are more expensive. Won/t be ordering again any time soon

I loved the colours of the O’Go yarn my project turned out beautiful but the price of these on Amazon is outrageous, I can order online from Walmart at a more affordable price Amazons prices are outrageous 😳😳
