Rubbermaid FG1F73P6CHROM Sponge Caddy Chrome

My original review stated that this is "Nice looking and sturdy." This still holds true, however I have updated my review now that a few weeks have passed. After 3 weeks of use, I noticed that rust is already developing on this. It's a sponge holder. It's meant to hold a wet sponge and should not be getting rusty after just 3 weeks. I don't anticipate having this much longer and will look to replace it with another brand. Very disappointed.

I had one of these that I had used for years. It finally began to rust, so I bought a new one. It began rusting on the bottom of the basket less than a month after I got it. If rust doesn't bother you, this otherwise does what was intended, but apparently someone decided to save a penny on the thickness of the chrome plating. I guess I'll have to find a plastic one.

This is my second time buying this and it doesn't work well. The suction cups stuck some of the time but most of the time feel into the sink. A piece of the metal holding one of the suctions broke after only a couple weeks of having it. I don't recommend this item and suggest paying a little more for something more quality.

This is a simple item. However, as we know and probably why you're even reading this, companies have a way of ruining even simple items forcing you to buy several cheap versions until you spend as much as you were trying to avoid spending to begin with. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THOSE ITEMS!!! Buy it; it'll fit your sponge and stay stuck to the side of the sink and that's all i ever wanted out of it. Perfect.

It arrived broken and bent. I tried snapping the broken pieces into place and that wouldn't have bothered me much but since it's going in the sink where it's going to get wet it will get rusted. Mind you these pictures are after I tried bending them into place.EDIT: I was reached by their customer service team and they offered to replace it, however I gave it to someone else who didn't seem to mind the defects, so all in all there was a happy ending after all. I'm sure it's a sturdy caddy, I just didn't feel comfortable with 2 of the little bars sticking out like that. Anyway, I do recommend this product since they have good customer service that's willing to take care of any issues.

I saw others complaints, but i have none. It arrived quickly. It stuck the first time. I put it on at the end of the day and let it set up over night before placing anything in it. Also, I read where it will rust and also I read you can clean that rust off easily with a vinegar scrub, but rather than do that, I simply put tape over the suction cups and spray painted mine with Rustoleum spray paint which I had on hand and in a color that matched my kitchen. The price is certainly cheap enough that if there's a problem and the paint chips (which I do not believe it will) and if rust does appear which i cannot rub off, I'll just buy another one, but I'm fairly certain the layer of Rustoleum paint will do the job.

Update to my earlier review, the quality of this brand has gone down severely, I had this product previously for many years and it never rusted, just lost suction so I had to buy a new one, unfortunately this one started rusting within a year and so now I will try another brand made of stainless steel for only a little more money, sorry that Rubbermaid is no longer a trusted brand as it was previously

I bought this as a replacement for my original Rubbermaid Sink Caddy that I've been using for 4 years. It's the perfect size to hold both the garbage disposal sink stopper and my nylon scrubber. Needless to say, it gets used multiple times throughout the day and I think 4 years is a pretty good life span. The suction cups stay put which is a big plus. I definitely will purchase this item again in the future when needed.
