SENQI Bicycle Rise Cruiser Handlebar 25.4mm Silver

Bought this you restore the aesthetics of a classic cruise bicycle from the 60s. The handlebars looked great and fit the look of the classic bike. Nice looking, shiny and fit perfect. No complaints.

This handlebar was purchased in replacement of a steel bar for the upgrade of an old Schwinn Collegiate that I did for a friend. Along with an alloy stem, seatpost, rims and hubs, and crankset, the weight savings was noticeable. Although this bike isn't my type, it turned out very well, and the new handlebar certainly contributed to the success of the project.

I got my Schwinn LeTour in 1976, when I was 19 years old. Nearly 50 years later, I just couldn't take the riding position any longer, but wasn't ready to give up on a bike that's been with me through thick and thin. So, using quality parts from Amazon, I've converted my bike to an upright position. This handlebar was exactly what I needed to give me a more comfortable ride.

Update 9/27/21:My review is still technically accurate, but was based on the much lower price that I paid. I paid nearly 1/3 of the current price, so I removed a star. Just be aware.These are nice lightweight alloy bars with a nice long grip area, which is important for flexibility when mounting brake levers with various types of shifters. I am a big fan of "Velo orange" parts, and I don't think these are quite the quality level of those but and these happen to be very similar to one of my favorites; the "left bank" model in rise and sweep, but the grip area is about 2 inches longer on these- and can be cut to a near match if needed.FYI, These did take a couple weeks to arrive, and although well packaged one set did get scuffed on one of the bends; but that doesn't detract from my positive impression of them.

Got these for my commuter bike and boy howdy, it completely changed the feel of the bicycle. I'm now riding mostly upright, which is relaxing and--dare I say--fun. I feel like I need a baguette in the front basket now.Installation on my stem was simple, I just took both bolts out of the head clamp, removed the old bars, pulled off the grips and brake, and moved them onto the new bars after clamping them in. A little bit of dish soap inside the grips makes them go on with very little effort. After a couple adjustments, I had everything set up just right, and I was off cruising around the block with a big grin on my face.The only problem I can find is that the grippy part etched into the center of the handlebars is a little off-center. I don't care at all, but I know some people would be annoyed by this. If that sort of thing is important to you, Amazon probably isn't the right place to shop for bicycle parts.

Back on the road sitting more upright and in comfort!
