Will it leave packages outside in the rain at the end of my driveway in a puddle? Just want to know how authentic the ups experience will be.

Yes! However if you can't find it there, please be sure to check right outside your garage door as you drive over it. They don't charge any extra for allowing you to crush it under the wheels of your car!

Is it plastic and how big is it

It is plastic and its' about 5 1/2 inches long and 2 1/2 inches tall. Nice little toy. I had to find it in the toy box before I could answer question!

What is the scale size of this truck

Sorry, I don't know scale sizes of cars or trains, but I can give you the dimensions of the truck = 5 1/2" long x 2" wide x 2 1/2" high.
