Merrell Women's Sandspur Rose Leather Sandal

I have purchased Merrell sandals in the past and was very satisfied with the fit and quality. These did not disappoint! They fit very well - not too tight across the vamp, ankle or toes and did not flop around when walking. I am a true size 8 and they fit very well. I didn't have to break them in at all. I also bought the dark brown color. These will be my go-to casual sandals. Would definitely buy again. Oh, and they're really cute!

Super comfortable, fit true to size for me (size 11), and although I consider these athletic sandals, I appreciate that they don't look quite as sporty as my other athletic sandals.I bought these specifically for a trip where I knew I'd be doing a lot of walking. I only gave these a couple quick trial walks around my neighborhood before the trip, but they easily carried me through 10-15 mile days on a range of surfaces (concrete, cobblestone, uneven dirt) without any pain, rubbing, etc.Pros: lightweight (especially compared to my Chacos), no rubbing/chafing from the straps, super comfortable footbed, good traction even on wet surfaces, no issues with the ankle irritation (the vertical strap that rises up below the outer ankle and connects to the back strap has notoriously been an area on other sandals that will cut into my ankle).Cons: limited adjustment - there is only one strap with velcro to adjust the fit, and I personally would love to make the straps that cross over my toe area a bit tighter.

Nice quality leather sandals. Many of the reviews mentioned that they felt the sandals ran large. This really made me question the size to order. For me... these sandals fit TTS and I ordered my regular sz 9. Glad I went with my gut on this. I have not had the chance to wear them long term but so far I think they are fine and comfortable.

I was on the lookout for some sandals for my upcoming trip to Disney World, and I'd been encouraged to try these based on the reviews. What I will say right off the bat is the straps on the right foot were a bit tighter than the left, and only the one strap is adjustable. The other strap has a small bit of elastic at the one end, which I tried to tug on occasionally to see if I could get it to loosen a bit.I wore them for running errands and stuff prior to the trip, trying to break them a bit. I must not have done a good enough job because the first day I wore them at Disney I got blisters on the balls of my feet. I did do about 25,000 steps that day and I am definitely prone to blisters/have sensitive skin so maybe it wouldn't have mattered what shoes I wore. But these definitely didn't save my feet like I'd hoped they would. They are relatively comfy and mold a bit to your feet. The nonslip tread is also nice. Just know that you could get blisters from them, particularly if they aren't broken in enough (which I'm wondering is what maybe contributed to why I got blisters my first day).

I cannot complement these shoes enough! I just got back from 10 days in Portugal and these shoes were perfect, right out of the box!

This is my third pair of these sandals. Very comfortable from day one. True to size.

I purchased this pair on Aug 30, 2023 to replace my original pair which lasted me several years before expiring. I maybe wore them a few times before Fall weather set in and just started wearing them again for the summer a couple weeks ago. To my surprise and dismay, I discovered yesterday (July 4, 2024) that one of the straps on the shoe is frayed and about to break (also leaving me on vacation with only a pair of flip flops). I expected to get more than a month's wear out of these after my original pair lasted 3+ years with fairly heavy use. I am hoping I just got a dud pair of shoes and that this is not indicative of the current quality of Merrell shoes. Otherwise, I find this style comfortable, great for walking and it looks nice either with shorts or skirts. I expect more of the Merrell brand though as far as durability.

I am a normal size 9, not smaller, perhaps a bit bigger, but I always wear a 9.When I put them on they seemed big, especially where my toes hit the toe pad area; they didn’t situate properly in the groove area. I returned for a size 8 since there wasn’t a half size and the 8s fit so well!You can see the slight size difference; it makes all the difference to my comfort though!I will try to remember to update my review when I test their endurance. I will be wearing them every evening in Italy for 5 weeks on the Via Francigene.
