Best pedal ever!
Love these pedals they grip well to my shoes. Super durable and light.

It's a Race Face Chester pedal
Chester pedals grab shoes well, are light weight, fairly robust, and slightly narrow. There are no center ridges to keep your bike shoes from not making contact. Almost grab as well as clipless pedals.

Looks good, great grip
Color is sharp (blue), failproof grip on my mountain bike shoes. The pedal is made of a super durable material that absorbs pedal strikes much better than metal flat pedals and doesn't show scratches like a finished metal pedal would. Price was reasonable for a quality pedal. No issues after a few months use.

Great pedals
Trail riding with these has really been great. Im a bigger guy and have put a few hundred miles on them, they’ve held up great! Even with a few pedal strikes, 0 failing points for me

Just got a second set of these
I just bought a second set of Chester Race Face pedals after loving the first set so much. (For a second bike...not to like...have one set on the bike and one set in the wash or something_I like platforms over clipless but the Race Face gives you the best of both worlds. They hold your shoes like glue when you have pressure on them. You WILL NOT slip off of them. Period. Softer rubber soles work better than hard rubber. (That newer foam sole stuff is too soft, the pins in the Chester pedals will chew them up)I don't care if it's rainy, muddy, icy, or what. Your foot will not slip off of these. But you can easily lift your foot up without resistance when you need to get off the pedals fast. They won't penetrate your shoes and hold them. Your foot is free to move when you want it but is locked to the pedal when you don't.They spin nicely with little resistance. They take a hit against rocks and curbs well. And when you do scrape one it doesn't show because they are colored plastic so the abrasion is the same color as the pedal surface.I've clobbered the pins into curbs and they get scraped up, but don't break off.I'm very very happy with both sets of these I have.Oh, and you do learn VERY QUICKLY to be careful with your shins and not let them spin around and smack you.

good value, grippy with the right pedal stroke
I started on flats, then went clipless, and have a few options depending on my bike, mood, and ride. Many folks provided positive reviews based on the grip, and I concur. With the right pedal stroke, one feels locked in in smooth to moderate terrain. I cannot emphasize this aspect enough, and perhaps any quality platform with pins would provide an equal feel, but I could feel the grip on the up stroke with very light pressure. I concentrated on the spin in several situations and could always feel the grip. Note - I am not hucking off drops any longer so I cannot comment on how they perform in really technical terrain. These were tested on an older MTB and cyclocross bike on local CO trails, surburban routes but nothing really technical. I did have a favorable opinion on some easy mtb trails when teaching my son to mtb though. If I was still racing actively, I am sure clipless would remain, but I can swap them out for my SPDs if/when needed if the need arises.

Best DJ pedal on the Market!
These pedals and color way combo are the best of the best! The grip is outstanding, zero slippage so far! I installed them on my Specialized P3 and mostly use the DJ at the local pump track!

Great budget pedals, I'm very pleased.
I bought my first expensive ($3k+) new bike and didnt want the $4 pedals they put on them at the shop. The bike shop showed me a few of their pedals but most were $150 or more. I figured I'm buying an expensive bike, I need to cut cost somewhere. I looked on Amazon and found these Race Face pedals. I was worried they'd feel cheap when I got them but to my surprise they are excellent pedals. I've ridden demo bikes with metal pedals similar to these but I think I actually prefer these Race Face composite pedals over super expensive metal pedals. I stay firmly planted on my bike even on rough trails, they seem to be pretty light weight and have survived several pedal strikes on rocks and roots. I'm now looking at a second pair for my new road/fitness bike. I ordered the black pedals but I love the color options for matching them to your bike's color scheme. I think I'll go blue for the road bike. Pick these up!
