I started to return this because it looked difficult to assemble. A friend with the right tools took the time to assemble it for me. I am very pleased that it fits under my counter and is easy for me to use. It is sturdy and looks nice in my kitchen.

This chair was easy to put together and very solid. Looks great and is pretty comfortable to sit in.

Assembly was easy, they are sturdy and comfortable. Great height for our counter.

I ordered 3 of these and they all arrived on different days. So I assembled the first one and noticed that the bottom bars weren't sitting in the grooves right. I tried taking it apart and putting it together again to try to get in right but it just wouldn't. The second one came in and the same thing (In pictures). Then the third one I couldn't turn the screw all the way on the bottom seat because of the way the hole was drilled, but the bottom bars on the chair fit perfectly in their grooves, no gaps. For the price it's not a big deal. The chairs still feel very sturdy and it didn't take very long to assemble even after taking it apart and trying again. The seat is pretty wide and long and surprising really comfortable to sit in for a long period of time. Overall a pretty good product.

If you’re on the fence-do it! Low cost compared to most. Easy to assemble. Feel very sturdy, thick bolts for assembly, wood is heavy. Exactly the style I’m going for- currently updating my kitchen and will look even more fabulous when my cabinets are done being painted white. One chair was a little wobbly, a leg must be a touch short. Easily remedied with a felt pad under the leg. We will see how they hold up to 3 kids under 7 climbing all over them. But black is an easy color to match for repainting/repairs.

Beautiful chairs, but unfortunately after an only a few days of use by 4 average sized adults, all four that I ordered became wobbly. I am so disappointed because I love the look.

This is a great value but suggest you follow these assembly approach. This is made of very dense wood (great!) but, in fact, too dense to properly seat the screws by hand in the cross members attached to the legs, which is why you are seeing some reviews with the cross bars not pulled tightly to the legs. While the instructions state do not use a power tool, you will have a difficult time firmly seat the screws by hand. Use your drill and adjust the clutch so that it doesn’t turn too tightly to the point of snapping the screw (screws are plenty beefy despite what others have said) or stripping the head - a little trial and error will get you in the zone. Once you seat the screws with your drill, then tighten the allen screws and this chair will be extremely solid.

I bought these because my cousin has a set of 8 that she purchased online with her rewards cash from a well known brick & mortar store, and I love them in her kitchen. She paid triple what they are here on Amazon. These chairs are easy to assemble, don't rock, are heavy and sturdy. They are super comfortable. I unfortunately had to return the ones I purchased because they were too dark for my kitchen. I would highly recommend them. Great chairs, great price. Return was simple and received an immediate credit once they were turned over to the UPS store.

Ordered two, took a bit of time to put together but are very sturdy. I purchased these for an outdoor covered deck but with the intent of heavier people sitting on them!
