My favorite boots of all time
To admit these are my favorite boots of all time is a BOLD statement I take seriously, folks. I had to think ALL the way back! Yes, it's true. I even had to include my white Go-Go boots from the mid 1960s that were PRECIOUS.What I love about these boots: 1. They come in Wide width 2. The top isn't so high that it digs into your SHIN! 3. They are RUGGED & last. 4. They're comfy! 5. Completely waterproof. (I walk the beach. If I get caught splashing in incoming tide, my feet stay dry) 6. You walk easier in snow with these textured soles. 7. They aren't too heavy. 8. They let you walk normally, not clomp around like you have cement blocks on.These are more comfortable than any sneakers I own, & because New England has so many ticks, I wear my boots year-round. Great, versatile boot. I love mine!

Nice boots
These hiking boots are warm. If you wear big socks go at least a half size bigger. I bought my regular size, they fit snug, not making my feet hurt. I have wore 3 times so far. Love them

Amazing look and feel
I bought these boots for my upcoming Alaska cruise. So far, my first impression is that they have the following:1. Looks: very nice looking boot with the added function of the tie to make them more tight or loose depending on the person. They also don’t make my feet look big like others do.2. Comfort- they are so comfortable. I don’t want to take them off!3. Quality- I am so happy with the quality of these shoes! Above and beyond my expectations.I bought Columbia hiking boots too and these are definitely the keepers and way better than the Columbia ones.Happy camper!

Buying My 2nd Pair
At 1st I wasn't sure about the boots as it caused bruises on ankles and blisters on heals during the first 3 uses (1st time I tried them in the house for a couple hrs and felt uncomfortable, -blisters on heals,-2nd time I used them on a 7+ mile moderate-hard hike and ended up with bruised ankles, 3rd time on a 3 mile walk and the ankle area still felt sore). BUT once broken in, they became super comfortable, supporting my feet well both on long walks or hikes, they grip well on paths (except on loose terrain they can slip like any other boot), and keep my feet warm, too during cold weather. I LOVE the color and style. I would recommend using a boot wax before initial use, I coated mine and it helped seal in the color and water to run off it nicely. I used mine stepping in/through a creek, too and yes, they were water proof. I purchased my 1st pair on Amazon (a few cents more), but they were sold out when I wanted to purchase a 2nd pair, so I am buying my 2nd pair straight from Timberland (I find if I wait until I wear an item out, by the time I'd like a replacement pair, I can no longer find them, so I am being proactive this time). I think the value is good, too (though I can't testify for durability as I only owned the boots for a couple months, but I'm hoping they will last a couple years or longer). I purchased other brands and more expensive hiking boots in the past that were not comfortable and were a let down. I am glad I gave these Timberlands a try. The only reason I didn't give a 5-star review was the break-in period pain. I wear a 7-7.5-8 M in various footwear (tennis shoes, flip flops, boots all seem to fit differently). My initial Amazon purchase consisted of a 7.5 M and a size 8 M. I returned the 8 M right away as I was able to determine instantly that they were too large once I tried them on. The 7.5 M are a good fit for me, leaving a little extra room for thicker socks or feet to expand (not sure if a 7 would have felt too snug). Happy with my boots!

Love these boots!
Second purchase of these Timberland Hiking boots! 😊 Great comfy, sturdy boot to hike in soggy Oregon! Comfortable Day1. Moderate price was the bonus! I work at state parks so they get a workout. Only had to purchase second pair due to losing the first pair in a flood at the park!

Comfort and fit
I actually ordered a second pair after receiving the 1st for work. They fit great and are comfortable the first time you put them on.

Very close style to my favorite old Timberlands that I wore for YEARS! Great value--great style!
Almost returned them but glad I didn't. Out of the box, they felt short. I am a 9-1/2 - 10 and since I had another pair of Timberlands, I went with the 9-1/2. The backs are angled so it pushes your foot forward. The backs are also super padded which initially also makes the boots feel short. I laced them up and wore them around the house to make sure. Today I wore them on a walk through wet and muddy trails. My feet stayed dry. The extra padding in back rubbed against the top of my heel on the right and I felt the start of a blister. I think they need some breaking in. I intend to wear them on a few short walks and hikes first. Hoping all that extra cuhsion tamps down a bit with wearing. What I love about them: They are leather and light. Some of the leather hiking boots are heavy. These feel like a cross between a boot and a sneaker. I also love that they are wide in the toe box. My feet are wide there and there is plenty of toe wiggle room. They look old school--classic. Remind me of my old lace up ski boots! Very well made. My other Timberalnds similar to this style lasted for YEARS! I love that they are year round boots--good in the cold weather but I would also wear these for summer hikes. They seem like they would be great for trips--lightweight and versatile. I am going to try them with my snow shoes too! I am hoping the heel padding issue goes away because if it does, I think I have found the perfect all around boot.
