Got to know my bandsaw!
Bought the alignment guides as an upgrade to my used bandsaw. Installing them was a great experience in getting to know my bandsaw. Smooth bearings, good purchase.

Every Delta owner needs these
SO much better than those factory guides. Spend the money. Be careful to adjust the side rollers if you change to a wider blade. Unlike the block guides, these bearings are unforgiving and can roll the set out of the teeth! Mine had a funky alignment issue so I called the factory and talked to a live engineer who walked me through an extra step of adjustment that they built into the guides that is not in the manual. BTW, buy a 4" angled dust port and put it on the bottom of the bottom door of your old Delta.

Perfect, exactly what I needed to upgrade my old band saw
This made my old saw so much easier and more accurate to use, I'm very satisfied with this product.

Why did I wait so long before upgrading? It's like a brand- new bandsaw.
After 34 years of service, the potmetal bracket holding the saw guides for my 14" Delta bandsaw broke. The stock Delta guides were not great in the first place and the rear thrust bearing was constantly freezing up, so I replaced the lot with the Carter all ball- bearing guides top and bottom. The installation was really easy, and the metric allen keys were provided, too - a very nice touch as I now have them in a small magnetic holder on the saw so they are handy whenever I need to make an adjustment. The guides work great. WHy did I wait so long is all I can say. The rear bearing is aligned properly and will never sieze up the way the old, poorly- designed Delta offset bearing did. Most importantly, in addition to being as smooth- operating as can be, the guides enable much better control of the blade. In the first app, resawing which was not possible before is now a breeze. Just for fun, not for a project, I tried some intricate, tight- radius cuts, and found that I could do them all correctly, first- pass, compared to the prior experience of having to constantly cut a bit and back off a bit, never getting a really smooth and continuous cut on the tight curves. The vendor delivered as promised and in perfect condition. This item should be one of the highest- priority purchases on every bandsaw owner's wish list.

Knocked over by the NASA quality Carter guide kit (14" vertical)
Simply OUTSTANDING!The "build quality" (fit and finish) is 1st rate and NASA quality. At first I winced a bit on the price. I mean, we are talking about a set of bearings. But after seeing the kit first hand, I was blow away. If you are a "tool guy or gal".. and appreciate great design and well made hardware.. Well then this has to be a 11 on a scale of 1 to 10. I can't imagine how this can be made so professionally for this price. It's literally a work of machine-art IMHO.My 14" Delta (28-303) already had some bearing on their way out, top and bottom... So spending the money to just get the OEM ones replaced didn't make sense. My Delta 28-303 is already built to last lifetime(s).. But this Carter kit brought it to a whole new level. I would say that this is what the factory should have done to start with, but they would have never spent the time, energy and money to go there. The kit, packaging, instructions, hardware are all top notch. And of course Amazon knocked it out of the part getting it to me quickly and at the right price. I believe this is one of the best upgrades for my 14" vertical saw I've every purchased.. And the price? It now seems like pennies on the dollar. Actually, I feel like I stole it! Heck, I would pay this just for the "bling" factor.Update:Kit installed, using it now.. I can't wipe this smile off my face. I now own a hard core, serious metal cutting machine. The OEM Delta guides are pretty dang nice to start with. But this puts it over the top. It's a must have

Great customer service
My first cut was a re-saw of a 6" piece of walnut almost 3 feet long. It was almost the max capacity of my 14" saw but the cut was perfect. My guides arrived with a mismatched set screw but a call to the company quickly identified and solved the problem. The representative answered the phone without my having to work through numerous recordings, he spoke understandable English, quickly identified the problem and put a replacement screw in the mail. Nice!
