DAYBETTER Led Strip Lights Kit RGB Color for Indoor Use

Just installed these yesterday so this review is not based on long-term usage. I needed to replace a light strip under the awning on my RV/Camper. Original lights were only white and about part of them did not work. Selected these lights to add the options of changing colors and dimming. The original light circuit is 12V and controlled, on/off, with a light switch. I’ve seen questions about connecting these to a 12V battery (on a boat or car) and the answer was YES, but didn’t address HOW. You must use the IR Receiver, no choice, the included Power Adapter provides it with the 12V through a cord with a special plug, I didn’t need power supply, but did need the cord that connected it to the IR Receiver. With the Power Adapter “Not Plugged in” I cut the cord off, leaving just a couple of inches connected to the brick. Used a voltmeter to confirm the polarity of the wires + (red), – (white). Cut the cord on the RV going to the old lights, verified polarity of them + (Red), - (Black). Splice wires appropriately, plugged the cord into the IR Receiver and plugged the light in (Still on spool) turned on the switch, turned on the lights by the remote. Everything worked. Cool having so many options. Another thing cool is when you turn the lights off and on, by the light switch, these lights save the setting. After confirming proper operation, I continued the installation. Will not bore you with these details. Incredibly happy with the results, I’m going to be the envy of the campground. Well, in my mind anyway.

I installed it in my curio cabinet, it was an easy installation with the self stick backing.The illumination of the lighting is of really good quality.The remote control is really convenient and simple with so many options.The lights come with everything included for easy installation and operation.

I have purchased three of these sets for myself, one for my stepson, and one for my niece? They are super easy to install, as bright or dark as you’d want them, have a ton of colors, can set multiple moods by having multiple strings in the same room, haven’t had any issues with any of the five sets, and I absolutely love relaxing in my home with them on. Tv watching is wonderful as the colored lighting adds to the experience. Everyone that has seen them loves them and usually ends up buying them within a week of coming over especially since they are so inexpensive. If my fiancé would let me, I’d have them all over the inside and outside of my house! Great purchase, great product, great price! Worth way more than what they cost! You can’t go wrong with these and they’re a ton of fun even for a 41 year old man. Grab a set or five! You won’t be disappointed!

The media could not be loaded. I bought 2 strips of these- one to accent light the kitchen & the other for a hobby room.Easy to set up & operate. The range of colors & features is super nice, you can toggle the brightness and the color coded remote is convenient. The light they put out is outstanding- 1 strip lights up a 11’x12’ bedroom nicely.Downside, be careful about where you place the remote’s receiver- some of my TV remotes interfere when used in the same room 😂 I’ll have them set on a solid color, minding my own business; change the channel/volume/etc with the tv remote & it triggers the lights to a different color. Weird, but not something that changes my overall opinion that these are a good value for small projects

When picking to buy the WiFi option lights which cost more so I can use my phone to control the light. I went to scan the QR code and it said “please close this may steal financial or personal info.” So won’t scan QR code and that mean the WiFi access won’t work. Glad I paid more for this option.

The media could not be loaded. Works great. The lights are bright and offers the option of customizable colors. I did not find a way to create a customs sequence of colors though, if there is let me know.Includes a couple of connection splicers and mounting brackets for the remote control receiver.I installed these behind a series of tiki masks to give a nice glow in my bar, they went on well and the connections and waterproof sealing was solid. The remote controls another module inline with the power supply through an IR dongle that hangs off of it. Not sure why they did this, perhaps they also make a Bluetooth option? Either way I went with the remote instead of similar products that use an app because I wanted to future proof it. If an app loses support it can suddenly not work when you update your phone years down the road.

The product was not waterproof as advertised. As a matter of fact in the instructions it stated not to use product in open air or humid conditions. When I called Amazon they said they'd ship the correct ones, but that product never came. It's "lost in the mail" is what this last guy said when I called their customer service. What is worse is they somehow marked my original package returned, now I can't return it so, I'm stuck with lights I can't use and out the money too!!

Well the product works amazing and all.... Just a bit disappointed in the fact that more than half of the strand I bought had all the backing removed and was no longer really sticky minus all the hair that was stuck on the back of it... And the other less than half that's left was cut off so I have two pieces. Now I have to connect the two which isn't so easy with one of the backings already removed.. just grrr. Wtf. Why was it cut into two? And why was the rest used with someone's Nasty hair stuck to it?? I added a picture of the end that had the backing and appeared to be new, and one of the other side, the majority of the strand..
