I got this dresser and nightstand to stage my home to sell it. Because I am allergic to formaldehyde (which is in particle board, plywood & MDF) I can only handle real solid hardwood which is why I bought this. But the Product Description is very misleading! It is NOT solid wood. It has formaldehyde in it (so it either has some particle board or plywood). It's six months later and the toxic paint fumes still have not dissipated. I've had to keep the guest bedroom door closed as the strong odor gives me a headache and makes me nauseous. Obviously the paint is not low VOCs and has "off-gas" which is harmful to breathe in. Truthfully I won't even donate this to a neighbor or friend as I would be concerned for their health and well-being. Like I said, it's definitely not for people with allergies. But given all the harmful chemicals I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Even if you don't have allergies and can't smell it it's still harmful and can cause Cancer if exposed to it long-term. Research VOCs and you'll understand what I mean. Formaldehyde is on the EPA Hazardous Waste Site List - the EPA Guidelines (as well as CDC's Research) require you to call a Hazmat Team to dispose of it. Unfortunately they are putting it in so many things we're exposed to today: from furniture to Vaccines and flooring materials like laminate. While Environmentalists have us going more "Green" to save the trees, as a result most furniture now is not actually solid wood; it's mostly particle board, plywood or MDF. Even most of the furniture on Amazon that's listed as "wood" or "solid wood" is not actually wood (most of it is MDF). That's why it's best when they disclose what kind of wood is used. You can occasionally find furniture made of Asian rubberwood or pine (but not great for people with allergies). Not to scare you - there's some that don't smell that much. But this product definitely has a lot of toxic chemicals. If you can afford it, it's best to have custom furniture made by a Carpenter or Custom Cabinet Maker (they usually can make bedroom, dining and office furniture as well). As a finish you can use either a clear Varnish (aka Shellac) or Watco Butcher's Block. Or you can have it painted with Behr Premium Paint which is low VOCs and has low odor. I practiced Oriental Medicine for twenty years and worked with patients with Neurological Disorders including kids with Autism. And helping them eliminate harmful chemicals definitely improved their health and all their symptoms. I hope this info will be useful to anyone with allergies and health concerns.

Nice dresser for the money. However, the drawers are NOT full extension as per the Amazon description. This was one of the reasons we purchased this item - disappointing.

The one I received was completely damaged and they sent another in its place. I tossed the 1st one and now months later they are asking for the 1st one back;.Go figure.Overall the chest is worth the money as long as it gets shipped properly.

We only had to reverse the handles. Piece was very well packed. Great quality.

This is a high quality, beautifully finished dresser that lights up a room. The drawers pulling/out on the ball bearing rollers and closes flush with the dressers surface. You do not need to have it assembled. Mine came and the only assembly required was to reverse the handles from inside the door to outside.

Beautiful dresser. We loved it. It gives the bedroom a modern feel. I would have given this 5 stars if one of the drawers didn't have issues closing.
