Beautiful book. It’s a great book if you are into making historically accurate clothing. I am truly amazed at what humans can create. And the fact that we did this without machines! This is why we need to pass this down from generation to generation. It’s the same with learning the craft of cabinets and ceramic making. Allow and support apprenticeships!

The most amazing photography, a beautiful book, a great source book for anyone interested in historical costume, the history of textiles and fashion. The V&A are world class at this type publication and I can’t recommend it highly enough.
