Traeger Grills BBQ Rib Rack (BAC354), Chrome

I cooked 8 slabs of baby backs on my pellet grill. This rack was perfect. It held the full racks and was stable. I would highly recommend. It was easy to clean with a wire scrubber and fit in the dishwasher. Seems to be good quality.

The actual rib rack dimensions are 18.75" long, including the handles. And 12.25" wide, 3" high. And the rib slots are 1-7/8" wide, almost 2" wide. This rack fits the Traeger Lil Tex Elite smoker. It fits either direction and the lid will close but for ribs, it can only fit one way, laying the ribs length wise in the pit.A full rack of ribs does not fit this rack well. The rack is only 12.25" wide, while a typical rack of ribs is closer to 18"+ long. So the ribs overlap the edge by 3-4" on each side. See attached picture. The Traeger picture shows the ribs fitting much better but either they have shorter ribs in Traegerland or they cut the ribs to fit the rack. The overlap is of concern, I would not overlap a rib on top of another rib when cooking two racks of ribs on the grate so I would not think overlapping the ends in the rib rack would be a good idea either.The rack slots are almost 2" wide so the ribs tend to lean forward or back in the slot. It would be nicer if they fit a little snugger to help hold the ribs vertical. I spaced my ribs out every other slot and that seems to be a better layout. The first and last slot fit past my drip pan in the smoker so they are not of any use in my smoker. So this is more like a 3 or 4 rib rack.While smoking the ribs, I noticed the meat receded from the bone on the top but not the bottom. I flipped the ribs once during the smoke to evenly cook the top and bottom of the rib.Summary, the ribs came out good using every other slot and carefully placing the ribs in the rack so they did not overlap the nearby ribs. The rib meat receded from the bone which is always a good sign, I don't always get this when smoking the ribs laying flat. The ribs all smoked in 5-6 hours, faster than I was expecting. I usually need 6-7 hours smoking 2 racks laying down on the grate. The handles on the rib rack are not very useful. The ribs fit too lose and overlap the ends too much to use the handle to pick up the rib rack when full of ribs. It would be nice to have a rib rack that is wide enough to hold the entire rib. But you could always cut off a few ribs on each rack or cut the racks in half so they fit better. This rack does not hold an entire rack of ribs well, there is a lot of overlap. Great for half racks of ribs.

Came quickly, but was broken right out of the box. One of the rib holders isn’t attached. We need it for this weekend so unfortunately I cannot return. Bummer.

I have a treager pro, not sure of model, around 500 sq inches, after it came in i was not sure it would fit, it basically covers the entire grill grate. the ribs go in longways, so the two ends can get a little burnt. before i could only smoke 3 or 4 racks at a time. Now can do 8 with this. Cleaning it is challenging. I sprayed it will non stick grill spray before use. the ribs still stuck to it. Soaked in sink and scrubbed.

Makes grilling a rack of ribs or six much easier. Anticipate that you will need a rectangular grill with a tall lid to fit the rack standing on edge.

I was going to smoke 7 St. Louis style ribs, and needed a rack that can hold and good amount. This rack was pretty great. I carried it eith 7 heavy slab of ribs, and it handled the weight. Definitely recommend.

Keep in mind if you are using a rack as such and you are cooking with this rack full that it will take more time to cook.

I bought these for our caterer to use on his smoker. He was able to cook twice as many ribs at one time. He loved them.

Used for the first time in a rib fest. Used two side by side in my 34” smoker with a very thick cut ribs. Handles were placed front to back and all 16 racks fit in smoker without issue. Could not have smoked the ribs without these racks!Cleaned them two days later by soaking over night and a quick scrub, no problems.Highly recommend with the large Traeger smoker when you need to smoke lots of ribs.

This rack holds up both baby back ribs and St Louis style side ribs without any issues at all. Easy to clean.

I had this rack previously and needed another one so I could do 16 racks of Ribs for a family event. It works fantastic. I highly recommend getting one. First check the dimensions of your grill to insure it will fit!!!!
