I was hoping these Ark Naturals Brushless Toothpaste chews for dogs 8 to 20 lbs. would be effective but I never expected the difference to be so dramatic or to happen so quickly! My dog had substantial buildup on his teeth at the gumline and I knew a cleaning by me with a toothbrush would be a disaster if I hit any tender spots. I decided to give these a try. Our order arrived on Thursday, September 24. I gave my dog (a 13 lb., 6 year old mini dachshund) a chew as soon as I opened the package. I cut it into smaller pieces but immediately realized this was a mistake. The whole purpose of the size, texture, and ingredients in these chews is to clean the teeth as your pet gnaws and chews on them. He seemed to really enjoy his new treat and that evening I gave him another, this time whole. He put it in his mouth and trotted off to his favorite hiding spot. He was soon chomping away happily and finished the while thing in about ten minutes. Having noticed an improvement in our dog's breath almost immediately I decided to take a peek at his teeth on Saturday night. I couldn't believe my eyes! The dark, icky buildup was GONE! I am sold. These things work and they work well. I am going to recommend them to every dog owner I know. They do turn our dog's poop green but we've noticed no other difference in the frequency or consistency of his stool. He doesn't seem to be suffering any digestive issues whatsoever related to the chews. I will be signing up for subscribe & save on this product; after the first week I may drop down to giving our dog one chew a day so the bags last a little longer. In any case I am really glad I discovered this product and my dog seems to agree!

My dog doesn’t care for them. I smelled them and I probably wouldn’t like them if I were a dog. They seem to help with his breath a bit, but he only eats them if he’s sort of desperate. Like, I give him one, he walks off and about half the time I find it later in the floor. He’ll usually get around to eating it, but not with “gusto”. They have a sort of minty medicinal smell, but they’re supposed to be a therapeutic treat, not a delicious one. Again, your dog may like them just fine. I have a rescue that is small, probably mini schnauzer and Lhasa, about 18 lbs. He digs anything fishy, meaty or dairy or pizza-crusty. Like my canine opposite, but the best damn dog ever. He doesn’t like carrots, sweet potatoes, vegetables of any sort really, if that helps you ascertain if your dog might like it. Pretty pricy. I cut his up into smaller pieces pretty easily. Perfectly good product, not sure if it is worth the price, but that is particular to us.

I've tried a few different dental chews for my dog over the years, and these have been one of the best values I've found. My dog absolutely loves them and gets excited every time I open the bag, which wasn't the case with some of the other brands we've tried. What I like most is that they're noticeably cheaper than a lot of the competing dental chews while still doing a great job helping with breath and keeping his teeth cleaner between vet visits. It's nice not having to spend a fortune on something he goes through regularly. Been using them for a while now and will definitely keep buying them. Good price, my dog enjoys them, and they seem to do exactly what they're supposed to

I have been purchasing these for about a year for my dog that I adopted and she was about four years old when I got her. Her teeth were an absolute disgusting mess. I actually break these in half not because they’re too big, because she gets one every morning. It’s part of our morning routine she gets her “teefy treats”. Not only does she love them and look forward to getting them every morning, her teeth have improved a lot. Her breath is definitely doable! I will continue purchasing these they have never upset her stomach or affected her bowel movements in the slightest.

My 15 year old toy poodle always loved these and thought they were treats. As she aged I would have to cut them down since she had some but certainly not all teeth extracted. Well, for the past year when I purchase these they are hit and miss. Meaning sometime they have been the usual, ridges, chewy center able to cut them. Lately however, I've had to return 3 orders from different vendors because the outside is a hard as a rock, unable to cut, have "bumps" on top of the ridges , the centers are equally as hard, so much so when I do manage to cut with a sharp large kitchen knife, the center pops out. My dog no longer likes them. At first I thought they were stale but that's not the case at all. What have you done to the formula? Did you sell the company? Unfortunately, I am returning the most recent purchase & will search for another product.
