Hodedah 4-Shelf, 8-Door Cabinet Bookcase, Mahogany

The product in the picture looks nice bit is what you get but you have to zoom in to see the details. I didn't notice when I ordered this cabinet. The doors are held on by cheap plastic brackets that make the whole cabinet look cheap. If you zoom in on the picture, you can see the corners where the doors meet the shelves, there is a darker half circle. That is the bracket for the doors. The "silver" handles are plastic as well. Outside of being disappointed with the design, it was fairly easy to put together. The only issue I ran into was that the spot where you attach the metal plate on the doors (so the magnets mounted to the shelves hold the doors closed) wasn't pre-drilled which made that a little more time consuming. I hand wrenched everything, I don't use power tools on things like this because they break too easily.You get what you pay for with the product. It's relatively cheap. Looks good from a distance. HATE the plastic door brackets!

So I was getting tired of drawers but was looking for something on the cheap side and I came across this. It works for my needs, I wish it was a bit more sturdy, I kinda moved it and I think I might have messed it up a bit as it’s a bit wobbly. But it’s kept in one place do move it much. I use it for my jeans and T-shirt’s. Works fine.

Wow, this was the first time I really felt let down by an Amazon product. The reviews weren't great but I was shocked by how bad this turned out. First, the box was open when we got it. Sterofoam was broken and coming out. There was some damage to the piece but it was minor and it is something that will get a lot of wear and tear anyways.Then I started to assemble it and was shocked to fine more damage and a lot of the hole didn't align exactly.I admit I have recently purchased a lot of IKEA stuff so was spoiled by easy instructions, well-designed and simplified assembly and well-thought out stability. This piece lacks all of that. For the same price I should have bought an IKEA shelf. The handles are platic. The whole shelf is rickety and looks embarrassing. It feels like something I bought at Walmart. I will not be buying from this company again.

The item has cracked and broken pieces I’m not in the mood to put it back in the box and send it back so we will just use it for a few months a throw it away. The product is so cheap it almost feels like paper. It won’t even hold 10 books in it it’s so cheap. The back of the cabinet is carbon

The product came and all the pieces were there, I checked before building. The screws for installing the shelves required Allen wrench instead of screwdriver which made building long, painful and difficult. Instructions are not very clear, but I managed. There were pin prick size holes in the doors to start the screw in , but most the time it didn’t line up with the item needing attachment. I was not happy with plastic handles, I mean really? I realize this was a cheaper item, but still $90 is a lot of money. I know this ad says the exact dimensions on the cabinet, but I didn’t realize how small it was until I got it built and standing up. I ordered another one with just the 4 doors at the same time, it won’t be here for a couple weeks more, but I am sort of wishing I had read everyones comments before ordering and waited to order another.

This product is Cheaply made. I had to send the first one back when it came broken. The second one also had issues where the press board was broken. The handles are plastic and the screws didn't fit well. The doors will brake apart if not careful when putting it together. Very disappointed

My Sister and her 11 year old daughter are assembling the product. I bout this for the door aspect for storing non-perishables. (We have a toddler who is "toddler curious". :) We are replacing a larger shelving system that is open and wider.So - for this product a bit disappointed. Perfect condition on arrival. Thicker pieces of ply wood than I thought upon opening the box seeing two thin laminated back pieces. I do not like the unfinished coloring of the ply wood. Though it is out of sight, It would have been nice. My Sister and her daughter completed this in less than an hour. :) That is great.For the price - my only complaints would be: this should be 5 shelves, longer shelves, and height a lot taller.I think a reasonable price for this product would be $50-60.However, hoping it serves the purpose of need.

It is laminated pressed wood and that makes it not as heavy as solid wood and not as heavy. I use mine as a pantry and it holds a lot! I can stack three soup cans high and 10 soup cans across.And that frees up the small pantry in the kitchen for large pots, pans, mixer, wok, rice steamer, waffle maker. I like the dark wood color rather than what I call a blonde wood color (oak color?). I've considered buying another one. They're great for apartments that tend to have little storage space, and small kitchens.Some of the drill holes for the screws didn't all match up to install the hinges and magnet pieces. But that didn't effect the appearance. And the cabinet is sturdy not wobbly. I'm happy with it.

Looks-wise, it's exactly what I expected. You can see it's a cheap type of furniture made of pressed particles. The only reason we bought it is because it was fitting for a specific spot at our home.There were no damages and it was pretty easy to put together.But it has a weird smell inside. It's not the type of smell that sometimes comes from new items, either wood or plastic. This smell is weird - like something rotten or sour, as if some bad food was sitting in it for a while. And it's not going away. I can't put almost anything in it because I'm afraid that things will start smelling. I'm thinking of getting rid of it although it's almost new - $200+ wasted!

After seeing the reviews I was a little afraid to open the box that was a little banged up, but apart from a little dent on an inside panel the product was fine. The finish is nice and looks good. It was easy to assemble following the instructions. The hinges look a little cheap and I will change the handles for metal ones. The quality of the product is ok for the money and it makes a great addition for my guest bedroom.

I know it wasn’t a very expensive product and I didn’t expect high quality however, I also didn’t expect to have to “fix” issues and defects right from the beginning. One of the door was backwards with no trim on the front. One corner was broken and I had to glue it back together. The trims were too short right in the front of the cabinet on both the left and right sides. Again, I know it’s no high end cabinets however, because we pay less doesn’t justify having to fix defects as soon as we open the box?

I have put together many "flat-pack" pieces of furniture and this one was terrible. The screws showed on the completed side, the doors were set with one tiny screw and will not hold their shape. Some of the black edges were lifted, showing the material underneath when the product arrived, and assembly damaged the edges even more. The bottom of the shelves (piece #2) 2 of the 3 had shiny arborite and 1 was bare wood. Very expensive for the quality. Stick to IKEA.

Really bad material, some components broke. Hard to assemble. Some plastic parts are visible and ugly
