I manage the benefits where I work, a 500 we nonprofit in Philly. I needed to boost participation in our dental plan, form about 39% to 80%, in terms of cleanings and regular exams. Good dental care is critical to overall good health. Bad dental care can lead to heart disease, which then cascades to poor health and increasing health insurance premiums.I told my staff I’d dress up as a tooth and greet staff as they came into work one day, handing out great toothbrushes, dental fact sheets and, a personalized list of dentists close to where they work or live. We also built in incentives into our onsite wellness programs. I looked far and wide, this was the only costume I found, other than a tooth fairy!It arrived faster than promised as I did get expedited shipping. I waited until the night before to open it.i should have done so earlier as the chemical smell was strong. Wicked strong. Had I not been able to at least dissipate some percentage of chemical, I’m not sure I could have worn it. Beside that, the eyes are really the only opening, and you’re not going to see out of those. Poor ventilation, thick pliable styrofoam, lack of site mean you need help to guide you if you’re walking, lots of fluid as ya ain’t getting any air, and get out of it every 15 minutes or so as the chemicals were still potent. Overall though, it’s built well and made of strong styrofoam, comes with a toothbrush, and white leggings and gloves. The leggings could be bigger as I couldn’t wear them. This would be great to advertise a dental office at community picnics and similar events. I recommend it!
