Barlean's Lignan Flax Oil, 1000 mg ea, 250 Count

This is a superb flax oil, with a higher lignan content than Barlean's "regular" oil (lignan is the dark substance in flax oil that settles to the bottom of the spoon when you take it from a bottled source). I prefer these caps & even though they're more expensive than the packaged oil, it's worth it. Why? Because the gelatin capsules keep oxygen OUT, preventing the oil from oxidizing as quickly as bottled liquid oils can, even if refrigerated. Oxidation is any oil's enemy--pay more for these caps & your body will reap the benefits.I was curious how fresh Amazon's supply of these was--I'm happy to report that the quality is SUPERB--these are not old, expired, or rancid in the least. Just FYI, you should ALWAYS sample at least one capsule (by breaking it open and TASTING IT) to make sure the oil tastes FRESH, regardless of where you happen to buy your capsules. If that sample doesn't taste fresh and pleasant, don't take them, because flax oil that tastes rancid or "off" is oxidized and completely defeats the purpose of taking it in the first place.The bottle I ordered from Amazon is super fresh and delicious. I actually like to "eat" these, bursting the capsule and then chewing the three empty gelcaps I take as a serving like gum, till they dissolve completely (very good for the skin). These taste great, but you can take them the "normal" way by simply swallowing with water, if you prefer : ) My method is most definitely an acquired taste. Highly recommended!

I like this product, have it on S&S. I don't want to be an advertisement for the product, but it's 100% non-GMO. Omega-3, 6 and 9 and softgel. Cold pressed without chems! Have a 1/2 slice of buttered toast before taking supplements to help with absorption and possible stomach distress! 2 in the morning, 1 with supper. Bloodwork checks out fine!

Great quality product. Joints felt better when taking. No longer able to take with prescript meds. per doc. Unopened, and unable to return, though there is no indication that returns are not available for this item. No notification from Amazon this time on auto ship or would have cancelled subscription before it shipped. Sorry, waste of $ for me this time since unable to use.
