If you want honesty in a review, here you go. Background info on me: I have a degree in biology and other areas of study as well, and think of myself as an informed consumer. I spend tons of time researching natural health remedies and medicines as an alternative to big pharma. I sustained brain injuries in the past, slurring my speech for years as a result (no longer!). I found out about the significant benefits of Lion's Mane mushrooms from the one and only Paul Stamets, and started out using his products, which are, by the way, also grown on and ground up with organic brown rice. I was grateful to find this bulk version of organic lions mane while searching for more cost-effective options, since I found the pricepoint of Stamets' product (a competitor to this product) to be somewhat cost prohibitive for those (like me) who desire a higher, more potent dosing regimen. I have ordered Stamets' product once, and I've ordered this one several times, and have shared samples with others I know, and they have also experienced very positive results using this product. I am not affiliated with this company, nor am I affiliated with its competitors, so my review is as unbiased as they come. This natural medicine/supplement is a worthwhile one for anyone who desires improved mental cognition, and I would encourage anyone with brain injuries, neoropathy, trigeminal neuralgia, or other central nervous system issues to try Lions Mane as a supplement. Studies indicate that ingestion of Lion's Mane mushrooms may support neurogenesis (creation of new brain cells) and who of us here couldn't use a little boost in our cognitive abilities?! As a side-benefit, I believe I read somewhere that it assists with mitigating the symptoms of depression. I've found this supplement to be very effective, and have ordered it 4x so far. I'd be leary of other reviews which claim this product has "brown rice filler"...as many similar quality products also come with myceliated brown rice, which makes sense considering these mycelium are grown on a brown rice substrate. This isnt empty filler added to take up space, ladies and gentlemen! I typically don't take the times to review products, but wanted to offer a second opinion on this product which I feel should be rated at 5 stars. Try it for yourself and see what you think! Don't believe the naysayers, who knows, maybe they work for a competitor? I'm about to re-order THIS product!

Wow. This stuff is powerful. I was first introduced to Lion's Mane/ Chaga/Reishi in Four Sigmatic mushroom coffee a while back but I wanted to have more control over the quality and quantity of the adaptogens. Despite being USDA certified organic, most mushrooms come from China. I'm from China and visit regularly so I can attest to just how polluted the environment is. Even without the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers, there is no way you can control the contamination in the soil and water supply. This is why I make sure to check the origin of any USDA organic items before I purchase. I'm glad that I was able to find a US grown source of adaptogenic mushrooms. I have been using Reishi powder from Sun Potion in my morning coffee and rotate that with He Shou Wu and Chaga mushroom powder. Today I decided to try Lion's Mane for the first time and added a little under a teaspoon. I was buzzed the entire day. It's now 9:30pm and I'm still zoned in and completely focused. Of course every person is different, but this is how my body reacted. I will keep taking it but recommend starting with a low dosage and rotating between supplements.

I am delighted that I can buy this ORGANIC Lions Mane close to home. The flavor changes by producer, but I will not live without Lions Mane. I make capsules full, and sometimes I mix 1/2 teaspoon into 10 oz of ginger tea/green tea combo. Usually I add a slice of ginger root, cut up. This is a delightful tea for rainy days! And YES! I mostly use Lions Mane because I find it to be a mood enhancer, and more importantly, it helps me focus.

Not pure lion's mane has brown rice in it as well!

Tastes more like brown rice flour (ground brown rice) than lion's mane. I'm giving the benefit of the doubt and assuming that it really is myceliated, but it's hard not to feel like this product contains filler. edit: If you take a look at their chaga product, it's exactly the same color as this (which is exactly the same color as brown rice flour). Chaga is black and dark brown. I think this company is basically selling brown rice flour.
