Carvaan Portable Digital Music Electric Blue (Electric Blue)

I'm using this product for the last 3 weeks. It is one of the best things to give as a gift to your parents. Amazon was as usual brilliant in delivery. The packing was done very nicely. The saregama carvaan has an amazing sound. It is best for retro music. The sound is very soothing to your ears. Remote is working fine. Bluetooth connectivity is very good. FM connection is a add on. It makes the device more versatile. Collection of songs is very nice and geetmala again is an add on. Your parents would love to hear to all these songs and geetmala. Battery backup is quite good. You can expect a 6-7 hour battery backup on full charge. You can charge it with any mobile charger. Although, you will get a seperate charger in the box. Overall, this is an amazing product. I have not found any cons till now. So guys, you all can definitely go for this one.

Great collection, it took me back in time to "good old days" of filmy music. Espacially the geetmala thing, in spite of a little disappointment, as I expected original geetmala tracks since 52, (this is aminjees latest geetmala tracks covering the period as history with zalak or full song not in the paidan order but suitable to the narration woven by aminjee). There was a big disappointment too on sound quality side as there is no tone control, (@ Rs. 6000+ its not too much of expectation). One more negative on song organization, a fourth button duets should have been there, the duet or multisinger songs appear under both singers. Even with these negatives I have given it 5 star rating as it still is a great device, and is great background music player

It depends on what you are expecting from this product - so, if it is the 5000 songs that are stored in this Player that are of interest to you, then you may like the product. But, other than that, I was disappointed on all other aspects. The size seems a bit too large, could have easily been made more compact (my personal opinion) as this is a little clunky to be carrying around. The sound quality is rather average. If you are looking for a Bluetooth & USB Speaker, then there are hundreds of much better products available at half this price. My biggest disappointment was with the FM radio - the main reason for my buying this product as I believed you could change the FM stations using the remote control. The FM tuner was not able to catch many of the stations in Bangalore properly, even when I was standing in the balcony of my apartment on the 4th floor. Inside the living room, just one station could be tuned in to. You cannot save or preset FM stations (a feature that was a 'must have' for me ) - so, every time you have to manually tune and the tuning dial just does not do the job adequately. Overall, I am very disappointed with this product, its quality and its features. Other than the 5000 songs and Amin Sayani's golden voice, there is nothing else to recommend and even among those 5000 songs, I felt more than 50% were some unknown and very forgettable songs.

I could not have asked for a better gift that I wanted to gift my Dad during Diwali. Retro look, amazing sound quality and plethora of old melodies to chose from. I like the “mood” option. The packaging is superb too. Only thing lacking is the catalogue/index of songs by singers and different categories of songs. Just gift wrap it and handover to your loved ones. Remember all those times that you have disconnected their calls or didn’t call back for weeks or could not go to see them in person. This can just wash away all those sins. I had seen this in movie 102 not out and got fascinated to buy the product. Thanx to Amazon for such a prompt delivery. I bought blue colored which is the recently introduced color by Saregama. The outer cabinet quality is good but not that sturdy to survive a fall on the ground. I must say aesthetically this product definitely attracts you because of its design and available colors. If you have ever been a radio fan this product will surely gain your attention. Other than the 5k pre intalled songs the product also boosts of features like bluetooth connectivity, FM & USB support. The speaker is just good enough to play pre intalled old songs. When it comes to playing any songs with even little bit of bass, these speakers gives you zero output so if you are buying this product to use it as external speaker also, you will be highly disappointed. The pre-installed library is good but not point spending 6.3k for those songs as you can find them anywhere on internet too. Infact some songs are not even complete, they end up abruptly after playing the mukhda. Over all a highly disappointing product as it's damn over priced for the quality being offered.
