20 oz Homax 4055 Aerosol Texture Oil-Based Orange Peel Wall Texture

After patching up a ceiling in our older home, I was having trouble replicating/blending the patched area texture to match the textured look that surrounded the patch (which had likely been created from the many layers of rolled paint over many years). My contractor told me he uses this stuff all the time when he works on older homes in the area, so I thought I'd give it a try.Long story short, it worked great and it blended in with the rest of the walls despite the extra challenge of it being on the ceiling rather than on a wall. It was fast and easy to use (and weirdly kinda fun to spray).A couple of tips before you use it:1) Make sure you test the nozzle spray setting on a piece of cardboard to ensure you like the texture before spraying directly on the wall. I was surprised to discover that the "Fine" setting (supposedly creates the smallest bumps) was the right texture for me. I had assumed by looking at the pictures on the can of the different nozzle settings my wall would have needed the medium setting, so I am very glad that I tested the Fine setting first.2) Open up windows and/or have air circulation in the room you're using it in. The odor is EXTREMELY strong. I only used it for about 5 minutes in a room with two cracked windows and I was already feeling a little light-headed from the strong smell. My wife could even smell it on a different floor. Good news is that the smell goes away in less than an hour.I highly recommend using this product instead of trying to dip your paint roller in plaster or wall mud to create the effect.

Works perfectly and less expensive than Home Depot

We ended up with some decent sized holes in our bathroom walls due to some poor decisions by our previous home owner. When we fixed those holes we had mismatched wall patches that looked terrible. We bought this spray on the recommendation of the guy who painted our house. Worked great! Our walls all match now and you can barely tell where the patches are. Just be aware that when you use this it will smell totally terrible and you will need to be able to air out the area for a good couple hours. Definitely don't use this with a baby or small children in the vicinity.

Ordered two cans. One of the spray nozzles broke right away and I had to use the nozzle from the other can. When it did spray it was very inconsistent and sputtered out most of the time. The "flow" adjustment didn't really work either. Overall it was a mess and a waste of money. Definitely wouldn't buy again or recommend.

Need to apply in well ventilated area. Much better and faster results than water based version. Best spray texture patch product on the market.

Ripped out some shelves from my wall and left lots of marks. After putting spackle the wall was patched but flat. This was easy to spray on and was consistent, although it does get messy. Recommend using a towel or paper under the bottle to control the spray area. Satisfied with how the wall came out.

Great quick fix for my ceiling.

The media could not be loaded. This was supposed to cover 110 sq ft! And maybe it would, if it sprayed in the direction that you point it at!🫤🫤😣. Unfortunately it sprayed more of my floor, than the wall I was directing it to! Had to order another one! Hopefully it will do a better job, than the 1st one I bought!I bought this because the handyman that I hired to install a tub and shower surround, bought it, and it did a good job on that bathroom wall! So I thought this would completely finish the other project, but this can did not work as well as the one he bought at Lowe’s!😫😜. Maybe if I hold it upside down, it will work better!🧐
