Good Power
I was a bit skeptical about this unit as the retailer near me was pushing me to buy a $250 controller/transformer. I wouldn't mind that controller if required, but my system where I live didn't warrant the expense. I have 6 led street lamps, a working taco stand, track switch, and my track size is approx. 36 x 84 and my Berkshire Pacific is a big train. This unit fit the bill perfectly for me. There is enough power for me so far. Good product.

Works for the Polar express train
My son lost the AC adapter for his polar express line train and this was a great fit. He was very happy to have it working again.

Works fine, not adjustable
Works fine, can’t control speed so I’m returning, but if you had a different model train it may be just what you need.

Fits Lionel o gauge track
Fits our polar express o gauge track from Lionel as a good substitute for the original cord that came with the set.

Give your train the power it needs to run properly on a 6" x 8" foot platform.
I purchased the Polar Express which includes three passenger cars and a larger steam engine. I purchased additional track. My outer loop fit on the parameter of our 6' x 8' train platform. To insure the engine had the power to maintain a good speed I upgraded from the standard 40 watt power pack provided to the 72 watt power supply. The additional wattage allowed the train to maintain a faster speed at all locations on the platform. Well worth the extra cost to insure a constant speed of the engine and passenger cars on my longer track loop.
