ChiefRPAU Universal Projector Ceiling Mount

This mount provides an extremely stable, yet adjustable connection. It allows 3 degrees of adjustment after the projector is in place to fine tune the orientation to the screen.It is compact, and was fairly easy to assemble, although it does take some patience and mechanical intuition. I would not recommend it to someone who is not comfortable with mechanical challenges. In particular, the mechanism to secure it to the ceiling is left entirely to the person installing it.Overall, it seems well designed and constructed. I am extremely pleased.

If you want one of the best and micro adjustable projector mounts then this will work for you. You can nudge this when plugging in/out cables and it stays aligned where you set it at. Its adjustable to all angles. I attached it to a ceiling mount for a angled ceiling and it worked out great. It's not cheap, but my cheaper mount I had was shaking with the bass in movies and this mount is so solid it stopped about 2/3 of the vibrations.

I used this product to install a new ceiling mount Epson 5040UB projector. At first I thought I bought the completely wrong mount, then I thought they were missing parts. Then I realized with no help from the install manuals that it installs completely opposite of what I expected.It sure would be nice to have some perspectives in the install manual showing the actual install situations. They seem to be more concerned with everything but how to install in XYZ conditions.The manual was clearly written by engineers and lawyers with no users in sight.However once you figure it out....it does seem like quality....and does the job.This would be an awesome product if they simply explained how-to better. It would have saved me half the install time.

Mounting the AE3000U was a little tricky at first. The trouble is that if the mounting holes of the projector are too close together, the four adjustable legs can get in the way of each other, making them hard to position. (Would have been nice if the kit also included two extra short legs instead of only the four long ones.) The trick is to set the feet to the maximum height to get better clearance. Anyway, it works great and it looks like it will work for just about any projector. I went with this brand since I already had a custom (not universal) RPA mount installed for an older projector. So when I got the new projector, I only had to replace the interface plate instead of the whole mount.

This mount is great. The included arms for attachment to the projector were easy to attach and very solid. The mount intself is very solid and well made. I did feel I needed to reinforce the ceiling where I placed the mount but the projector I was mounting was actually larger than my previous projector and I was concerned about the additional wt. The mount allows appropriate adjustment and holds position extremely well. I chose this mount because of Chief's reputation and the recommendation of the tech support technician I spoke with at SIM2. You will be very satisfied if you use this mount.

I've used this mounting system before and I absolutely love it! It is very strong, easy to install and yet provides the most flexibility for mounting a projector. It is also very easy to adjust which is important as I've mounted several projectors from ceilings 12 ft high or higher. A great system!

This is by far the worst designed Chief mount that I have ever used. This Mount has the universal arms with depressing clips on the end to slide over an adapter. Well on my unit the clips were extremely difficult to push in which lead to extreme frustration and having to get a pair of channel lock pliers to push in the clips. This is such a stupid design and could be so much better.

Another bracket must br ordered that will fit the JVC DLA-NX5B projector for ceiling mount. I can't rate the sturdiness, easy to install or value for money because I'm still waiting for the bracket to be delivered.

Very adjustable and sturdy

Slightly complicated to install but once installed, a very sturdy product and we feel safe with it holding up our very expensive, very heavy projector!
