Star Wars: Force and Destiny - Nexus of Power

Book was received damaged, but willing keep it, to avoid hassle.Great idea content for campaigns involving the force.Would of been 5 star without damage.

144 pages, this focuses on worlds of the galaxy, vergences, new player options and 8 modular encounters (thank you Order 66 podcast).The worlds are Ilum, Naboo, Dagobah, Weik, Lothal, Bardotta, Auratera, Aleen, Devaron, Iktoch, Empress Teta and Ossus. Dagobah is a must have (population of 1 thank you), but Naboo just seems to be here due to them wanting it to be in some book. Although I now understand why the Emperor went bad - somebody hated him to give him the first name of "Sheev". Poor guy.Vergences are discussed, and one of the examples helps to give the Jedi an out for the rise of Palpatine. Not a fan of that specifically, but like the idea in general.Races are the Aleena (awesome race), Bardottan, Devaronian and the Gungans. I really want to make hostile Gungan exile who goes into violent rages when his accent is made fun of.Some new weapons and gear, but the sample relics are more interesting.Book closes out with modular encounters.

Even if you dont have any interest in playing the gameThis book is still a fun read to get a better understanding of locations strong with the force

This source book is a phenomenal resource for any force-user based campaign. It provides a great amount of information regarding trials of the force, places of great importance to force users, and the major planets that the force plays a role in. There is such a wealth of information in this book that I could not do it in a single review. Another home run from Fantasy Flight Games.

Haven't been able to really dig into this book yet, but I have used one of the encounters in the back, to help flesh out my own campaign. It felt very D&D-like though, which isn't a bad thing, just interesting.

Solid book overall but I was really hoping for a better selection of races and a wider variety of planets.....adding a voss war spear but not having either the planet or the race was a big let down.

Good sourcebook. Lots of interesting info and ideas for expanding your own games.

Very good as a reference and very well written. It's fun just to thumb through it. I have still yet to go through the other modules I have, but when you're chilling out at night and want to keep the game fresh in your head, it's a good tome.

Ich möchte am Anfang dieser Rezession darauf hinweisen das ich dieses Buch nicht über Amazon.de oder einen der hier vertretenen Händler gekauft habe.Ich bin nicht bereit die zum Teil dreist überteuerten Preise für einige Produkte dieses Rp's zu bezahlen, und habe daher meine Bücher zum Teil über Amazon.com (lässt sich ohne Probleme mit dem deutschen Konto anmelden) oder über andere im Internet vertretene Händler gekauft.Der Standardpreis einen solchen Buches liegt im Schnitt um die 30 Euro, und nicht wie hier verlangt um die 50 Euro.Bei dem“Nexus of Power“ Buch handelt es sich um ein Ergänzungsband für das „Star Wars, Force and Destiny“ Rollenspiel ,lässt ich aber auch für die beiden anderen Star Wars Rollenspiele aus dem Hausse FFG benutzen.Das Buch ist ein Nachschlagewerk primär über Planeten und Orte die Stark in der Macht sind, und bietet sekundär noch einiges an neuen Rassen und Ausrüstung.Beschrieben werden die Planeten:Ilum ,Naboo, Dagobah, Weik, Lothal, Barotta, Auratera, Aleen, Devaron, Iktoch, Empress Teta, OssusEs gibt jeweils eine Abhandlung über die Welt, interessante Orte (z.B. auf Ilum die Kristallhöhlen und die Jediruinen) und einige Tiere und andere auf diesen Welten vorkommende Gefahren.Die folgenden Orte werden beschrieben:Der Jeditempel von Coruscant, der Jeditempel von Ilum, die Baumhöhlen von Dagobah, der Jeditempel von Eedit, die Ruinen von Acablas, der Jeditempel von Lothal, Mortis (Ort der wahren Macht) und die beiden Antiken Welten Ossus (Gründerplanet des alten Jedi Orden) und Tython.Es gibt vier neue spielbare Species:Alleena, Bardottan, Devorianer und die aus Episode I bekannten Gungan.Es folgt ein Ausrüstungsteil der sich aber größten Teils mit der Ausrüstung der Gungan's beschäftigt (z.B. die Plasmabälle aus der Endschlacht von Episode I).Es gibt ferner eine Auswahl von neuen Talismanen und Relikten, mit Beschreibung deren Geschichte und ihren Auswirkungen (z.B. Meister Lodoka's Lichtschwert, Taradon's Helm).Am Ende des Buches gibt es noch ein paar Modulare Abenteuer, dabei handelt es sich um kleine Abenteuer Module die sich in bestehende Abenteuer einbauen lassen (z.B. die Erforschung der Ruinen von Acablas).Fazit:Ich besitze diese Buch schon seit Erscheinung, und habe des öfteren mir daraus (der Aussage meiner Spieler erfolgreich) Anregungen für Abenteuer geholt.Der Standardpreis um die 30 Euro ist für diese Buch in meinen Augen gerechtfertigt, da es auf seinen zwar nur 142 Seiten durchaus viele Informationen und Tipps bereit hält.Diese Buch ist in meinen Augen ein „Must have“ für diese Rollenspiel.Möge die Macht mit euch sein......

Le choix de planète ou de race n’a pas tous un grand lien avec la force. La Race Gungan « ben voyons » j’aurais mis les miraluka qui sont probablement la race née de la force. Malheureusement éradiqué dans the old republic. Mais bon

Very cool locations and possible plot hooks. A great book for GMs to have. It does lack new mechanics and doesn't present a lot of new items but I still recommend this for GMs.
