Mrs. Miller'sAmish Homemade Gooseberry Jam 9 Ounces - Pack of 2

I've been buying this jam for more than 2 yrs, really enjoy texture and flavor. Shipping is the challenge: jars are packed in 2s, secure in their bubble-wrap that separates the jars. Shipping carton may or may not be full, rarely padded so b-wrapped units can move around. If a jar leaks a little, I clean it up and use contents. If a jar is smashed I complain. Todays delivery had three 2-packs in carton that looked weak and patchy outside. All items and box inside sticky, one jar completely smashed. Pictures here show the set with smashed jar, with b-wrap, then with b-wrap slit and unbroken jar at left. Last shot as first to show more of carton inside, very discolored and sticky.No pillows had been used to prevent movement -- hey, guys, those carefully protected jars can still move if box has space!

to much jelly in the jam ..definitely not my favorite

Love gooseberries and could only ask that they make this with more whole berries mixed into the jam. That would be mind blowing.

Was a good purchase as I searched for gooseberry jam for a long time. Was glad to find it. Of course it’s not like I make but as my gooseberry bushes are not producing for a few years now. Mine is more tart than this jam. But this one is tasty. A little sweeter

Hard to open the jar each time after it's reclosed. No idea about expiration date. Would be beneficial to know.

Not sure why it is impossible to find in the supermarkets - gooseberry is right up there with apricot jam and (thick cut) orange marmalade, in our house. I guess it really isn't easy being green. Anyway, this is quite tasty and the price per ounce seems reasonable if you factor in free shipping. However, it is basically the same price point as getting a six pack directly from Mrs. Miller's homemade jams, so I'll probably do that next time (you can select different varieties).
