Excellent, simple, tasteful, vintage-style watch.
As of this writing, I've had this watch for about 5 months and I'm extraordinarily happy with it. I'd been keeping an eye out at estate sales for a few years looking for a vintage Marlin with no luck. Santa finally agreed to get me this re-issue last Christmas. The packaging was tasteful, maybe a bit over the top for a $200 watch, but I appreciated the care that went into it; Timex is obviously proud of this product. Since then, it's kept very good time: I've really only adjusted it twice. Might get off by about a minute a month, but I haven't adjusted it in a couple of months now. The dial is a good size for small wrists and although it can be difficult to read in low light it's easy to read generally and provides an understated simplicity with its gleaming face and simple numbering. I think it looks elegant without drawing attention to itself. The leather strap has held up well; I put it on and take it off a couple of times every day and it's barely worn at all. Comfortable as well.If you're the sort that forgets to wind a watch, this one isn't for you. It takes a bit of a habitual nature to wind it every day, but if you're the type to buy a throwback wind-up watch you're probably the type that would wind it every morning before putting it on and appreciate the simple routine of it.Excellent job, Timex. You did well with this one.

Looks and works exactly as advertised... I hope they produce another batch of these
The watch is exactly as advertised- understated and just right. Seller actually contacted me with a note to ensure I understood the approximate size of the watch- which I replied that i did. Watch is small-ish by today's fashionable standards (but note that it wasn't always the case that men's wristwatches were garish-Cadillac-emblem-monstrous-overcompensating-for-underendowment/plus-sized-diabetic-modern-American). The motion and feel winding it and setting it is nice and smooth (of course, it's brand new). It looks just like the pictures, if you're wondering if it's easy to read or reflects light funny. So far it seems to keep time within a minute, 24 hours after winding it.

Great watch that stays true to the 60's
I love this watch. Smaller watches like this used to be the norm for men. My usual watch size is 38 ~ 42 mm, but I have no issue sporting this smaller one. It's beautiful and can be dressed up or down. I have a 7.25" wrist with leaner build, and I think it goes well on my wrist. I love the manual wind-up mechanical movement. I wind it each morning I wear it. It creates a closer appreciation for the watch as apposed to grab-n-go quartz or automatic movements. The sunburst dial is mesmerizing. My only complaint is when setting the time, sometimes the hacking second hand will "slip" a few seconds, or the minute hand will "jump" to the next minute. I work around the minute hand issue by gently pressing the crown in. At around $200, I can easily live with this. Before you buy, make sure you are comfortable with smaller watches. Don't buy this if you've never put a smaller watch on your wrist to see what it looks like. If you appreciate the beauty of watches of the past, you'll really enjoy this one!

A classic accessory
I love everything about this watch. The look is sleek with a mid-century modern vibe. Although it's a man's watch, it's perfectly proportioned to be a slightly oversized, not-bulky women's watch. I wear it loose to add a touch of "casual" to what could be a very dressy timepiece. I also love that it requires winding. It reminds me of the very first watch I ever received as a gift when I was a kid.

What a Beauty
This watch is quite honestly, stunning. I have many many watches, including some much larger pieces, including some sports watches such as G-Shock, etc., and I don’t see myself taking this one off lol. It is comfortable. It is classy and it is surprisingly accurate. Checking it against the atomic clock, it is accurate and loses about four seconds per day. For a winder that is pretty impressive. The dial is brilliant, especially in the sunlight. Man I love this watch!

Doesn't last.
I love the design of this watch, but it stopped working after only two months.

Retro Fun
I love the hand-wind action and classic design of the dial. Unfortunately, it runs pretty fast gaining a minute or two every day. I still enjoy it greatly, but I think resetting it once a week will get old after the novelty wears off.

1960s Timex retro Marlin
I really like this watch. It reminds me of my first watch (also a Timex) that I received on my 13th birthday. The looks are great. The size is perfect.
