Growing Trees for Profit (Profitable Plants)

I should of known better...
This book is not useful whatsoever. This book (more like a glorified PDF file you download for free) is full of cheesy quotes, unoriginal thoughts/ideas, and website recommendations that a 6th grader could easily find within 15 seconds. I'm embarrassed to admit that I actually paid for this.

A must read if interested in growing trees or starting a small business
Very good book with a good balance of introducing different approaches to growing trees and providing excellent tips for starting a business! I really enjoyed the flow of the book, starting with introducing strategies to grow trees for profit and ending with great advice for people who may have never started their own business. I also liked the wide breadth of tree growing strategies covered.

Chocked Full of Typos
The header since Chapter 5 is off by one chapter which is pretty annoying considering I bought this book for 17 bucks. The information was surface level but the book is inspiring and go getting. I just wished there was a wee more technical advice. I really liked the agroforesting advice from the one walnut farmer. It would also be nice if there were more real examples of farmers in the business of selling trees. The book felt more like a brochure for a trip to small business adventures. I appreciate the author's enthusiasm in it.

Covers the basics
Good little book, well organized and well presented. Covers the basics quickly with a lot of very specific leads for more information.

Excellent primer on growing trees
I picked up this book through a Google search in growing Christmas trees. I had no idea you could grow so many other kinds of trees too - especially on small acreage! This book is an excellent overview of all kinds of tree-growing, with links to many resources for more in-depth reading. My brain is full of so many previously-unknown ideas about growing trees for profit!

Very informative
I just bought some farmland to grow hardwood trees and in particular, Black Walnut. Even though I am a senior citizen, I want to do something for my grandchildren. This book is VERY informative and I am using it as a guide to get started. I hope the writer keeps updating the information.

Good for beginners
If you are just beginning with growing/selling trees then this is the book for you. It does a great job of taking you step by step of everything you will need to run your business of of selling trees. I just wish it would have gone a little bit more into detail on a couple of topics.

Great book but American focussed
Useful to some degree but all references & resource links are American, despite being printed in UK , so not so useful.

Very weak content
The book was put together quickly and has hardly nothing of value between the covers. I could have written this book with my limited knowledge. Very disappointed.

Wenig brauchbare Information
